I’ve tried a lot of basic cleaning sponges, and these Amazon Basics ones surprised me with how well they hold up. The texture is firm enough to scrub dried food off pans, but not so rough that it scratches surfaces. I used one sponge for several days of dishes, wiping counters, and cleaning my stovetop, and it didn’t break apart or get that “mushy” feel some budget sponges get quickly. The absorbency is great—they soak up spills fast without dripping everywhere. I also really like that the scrub side doesn’t wear down after just a couple uses. Amazon basics items are normally decent and have good performance. These sponges are just ok. I used one sponge for scrubbing pots and pans. After about a week it's already falling apart at the edge so first impression is not good. I won't buy these again.
