This shirt is thick and nicely crafted, and the texture/pattern adds a premium quality to it. The sleeves have a securely stitched thumb loop that won't be ripping loose anytime soon. The length of the shirt extends past the buttocks, but will help the shirt stay tucked within your trousers. I heated up very quickly when wearing this shirt indoors. Biggest complaints: the shirt runs too tight. I normally wear size Large tops and this feels skin-tight like a wet suit. But if you size up, you will end up with overly long sleeves and shirt length. The other issue is the steep price at $100 MSRP. I don't think I'd buy it at regular price.

I ordered this Under Armour Base 4.0 crew in a medium for my son. We live in Alaska, and with our extreme winters, layering is a necessity. We also love the Under Armour brand in general. This crew fits true to size, is soft, warm, and comfortable for layering. The slightly waffled interior has a soft, brushed feel that adds warmth without bulk. The fabric has a nice stretch, allowing for comfortable movement. It’s well-made — seams, stitching, and fabric all feel high quality, and there are no scratchy tags since the label is printed right on the fabric. After several washes, there’s been no fading, pilling, or shrinkage. It is comfortable enough to wear on its own and perfect as a base layer for cold weather. We haven’t had our extreme winter temperatures yet, but I’m confident this crew will keep my son toasty and comfortable.

The Under Armour Base 4.0 Crew is a great cold-weather base layer. It’s super warm without being bulky, and the material is soft and comfortable against the skin. I’ve worn it for outdoor activities and it keeps me warm even in very cold temps. It also wicks sweat really well and doesn’t get damp or heavy. The fit is snug (definitely a performance fit), so if you prefer something a little looser, I’d recommend sizing up. The neck opening is a bit tight, but once it’s on, it feels great and moves easily with you. Overall, excellent quality and warmth — perfect for layering in the winter

Really nice! Price is a little steep new but Under Armor always has great sales — if you can’t get it now just keep an eye on it. Amazon does have it for a better price than their website directly since I double checked. My husbands been wearing it on and off all week now that it’s gotten a bit colder out. He says they’re better than they used to be. They used to be more of a swim material feeling (sort of) now it’s more soft like a cotton waffle — nice feeling less strange! Fit is as expected with this brand — they do run true to size compared to the older versions that seemed like you should size up especially after washing. It has not shrunk after normal washing, drying, and has kept its dark black color!

This is a great base layer shirt! It is exceptionally warm, with a waffle-like texture on the inside of the shirt. Its sleeves and torso length is good. The sizing is accurate. It also washes well. Most importantly, it's not too wide, so it won't be bulky as a base layer. It's very practical and ideal for outdoor activities on a cold day. A very good value.
