Before buying, I read all of the negative reviews and I took the chance anyway. First off, I have purchased it twice, and I am ready to buy this additive again. Yes, people, it has an odor, and anyone who tells you that isn't a good thing - never raise worms and nightcrawlers or they would have known exactly what they were getting into. It smells like worm dirt, and I mean that in the best possible way. This is the real deal. The next item that Uncle Jim's is taking so much heat over is "Here thar be bugs". Now, most of the people with these negative reports also "claim" that they have composted and dealt with worm castings for years. Think it thru friends, how does a person do anything that deals with the items used for compost and worm dirt (with 15 to 20 tiny red wigglers alive on arrival) and not end up with a few unwanted buggy critters? So far out of only 2 bags I may have gotten 10-20 bugs of a flying sort total. Mind you, those aren't the little critters people are saying is infested in the soil. They are talking about very tiny white bugs that your bag will have in there also. They DO NOT eat the plants. They deal with unwanted bugs who do attack the plant, and they set the balance for the bacteria in the soil. If they are in the soil and doing their jobs well, you will see them stand to every time you water your plants. They are one of very few bugs that we WANT in our soil. TLDR: It is obvious to me that these folks have been doing this for a very long time, and they are doing it better than most others.

We have invasive worms in our yard so we are killing all worms as we see them. Uncle Jim's castings allow us to fertilize our garden in a nature way. The bags are easy to handle, shipping prompt.

I bought this thinking it was just like any other cheap worm casting product but no, I was happy to see alive baby worms in the bag and the compost has a nice rich look and smell too it, which btw is a nice micron bag that has a zipper! I will use this company from now on when buying worm castings! Item arrived fast also! Would recommend Jim's! A++

I did not notice any worms upon receipt, however, after a week or so, I noticed very small worms. I was told by a neighbor to add some corn meal and a very mall amount of water if the worm castings were drying out. I did it, and now have worms approaching medium size. Great product, and will gladly purchase again.
