Every time I look at it, I chuckle - I love the design. Sturdy base. Able to tear off paper towels off with one hand and it doesn't tip. The color is a deep satin finish black. If you're looking for a whimsical piece to add to your decor, this is a great choice.

I wanted one for the counter because the under the cabinet holder isn't near the sink. If we wash our hands, we trickle water across the floor while getting a paper towel. I like the portability of it as well. We can move it from the counter to the table with ease. If we have a lot going on on the counters, he can be moved to a cabinet and out of the way. He makes me laugh. Would have given it 5 stars except if you have a jumbo roll of towels on him, he clings to them for dear life and won't let you have one. After a few paper towels have been taken off the roll, it works great, no problems at all. The base is always lenty.
