If your fingers are slightly swollen or larger than average, move on, these are not the shears for you. For reference the ring size on my right thumb is about a 9. Not huge, not by a long shot. These features an ergonomic slant to the finger holes that could be quite helpful, but limts their usage to right handed folk. Otherwise, there's a prominent, easy to use knob for disassembly and to adjust tension. They are sufficiently sharp for my home crimes against bangs and good sense. No sawing, etc. So, if you can fit them, they're worth considering for your at-home hair trim needs. I can't speak to salon durability, but imagine you'd want a better guarantee of good edge retention with more intensive use. ... show more

During the pandemic I started cutting my wife's hair. She likes it short, nothing elaborate. This I can do, but I found that the scissors that came with a hair cutting kit weren't as sharp as I would have liked. The scissors I'm reviewing are. They're very sharp and also easy to use even for a fumble-fingers like me. Even with large hands my fingers don't feel crowded.
