  • Good rack!
This is great!

  • Conceptually good, but...
Conceptually this mount is a good idea, but it has not been completely engineered to bear the load of one bike. There are 4, 17" wall panels, each with 4 holes, 2 on each end. When mounted the center of the panel bulges and begins to pull each ends anchored screw due to the loading. You must drill 2 additional center holes to prevent the bulging and distribute load. I ended up lag screwing a 70" 2 x 6 to the wall, the using smaller lag screwing the 4, 17" panels to the 2 x 6. This modified mounting with 6 hokes per panel works well. If you are handy and can modify your mounting, i would recommend thus item. If you mount the panels as is with the 4 holes, watch and be careful of bulging and the end holes pulling free. I mounted 4 Schwinn bikes to this modified system. ... show more

  • Perfect for my needs

  • Works well
We put this on the back wall in our pole barn. It's nice being able to get them off the ground. All of our bikes, from a BMX to a 27" Mountain Bike fit with no problems. It's built well and is handling all of the weight just fine. My only issue is with the bikes sticking out from the wall, it makes that area kind of useless for anything else. I'd rather hang them from the ceiling but with an 8 foot ceiling, this was the better option. I like it but if you have a tall enough ceiling, I'd hang them from the ceiling. If not, then this is a good option. ... show more

  • Can be used for more than just bikes!
We used this rack for hanging up bikes in the winter and it's come in very handy to free up some floor space in the garage. We've used it for some of our snow shovels and rakes as well since the hooks are quite universal and sturdy. I like how it's not all one piece either - that made it nice for me to use the hooks in different locations of the garage. Overall, I would highly recommend this product since it's well made and the price is pretty decent. ... show more

  • Mounting holes not spaced well
Once these are on the wall and screen into a stud it does a great job of holding your bikes. Unfortunately I was only able to get two sections up before they no longer lined up with the studs. I expected this and but the first piece as far to the edge as possible where I even had to put the screws in at an angle to fill get into the stud. After the second piece was up the third section mounting holes had already passed the location the the stud. It would have been nicer if these had overlapped slightly so that two section could use the same mounting holes. I'll end up putting the other two sections on another section of wall but it's annoying that this wasn't thought of while being designed. Ok past that blunder... The hooks and brackets mount to the rails nicely and block into place tightly. They provided plenty of brackets more that I'll use but still nice to have the option. It comes with what feels like aluminum screws I dunno they just felt light compared to a typical construction screw. The rails and brackets are plenty sturdy to hold bikes assuming you get into studs. It comes with some cheap drywall anchors but I wouldn't trust those at all if you're hanging bikes that aren't like toddler bikes. Overall it looks nice, would look nicer if I could have put all four sections up in a row but regardless still looks good. I'm torn on recommending this, it works good but unless you want to use anchors (and I'd definitely recommend some better ones) or split it into different areas there are probably better options that have better mounting options. On the other hand, if you only want to put up one section in a few locations that would be perfect as the holes on just one section are 16 on center. So I'm that use scenario it's a perfect solution. ... show more

  • This rack is a lifesaver!
This bike rack is everything I needed, and more! I was looking for a little organization. My household has around 20 bicycles, to accommodate 10 people plus the friends and family who frequently join us. I already have several individual racks for the adult bikes in the garage, but I needed something to clean up the patio chaos a bit, for the bikes that stay out for easy access. I chose a well-covered and dry area of my patio, install was quick and easy and painless. I didn't check to see if this would tolerate weather because the area I needed it for stays really dry. We put the older kids' bikes on the rack, which immediately cleared up a TON of space. The feature I didn't notice or think about before ordering turned out to be my favorite. This rack also holds a bunch of our helmets! It was fantastic to clear some more chaos out of the play area. The rack is sturdy and well made, it will hold up to rough use by a bunch of teens and preteens, it's obvious. We filled it up immediately, but it's clear it could easily hold much more weight than we loaded it with. It is holding a variety of tires, though none are specifically fat tires it seems like it could fit them just fine. We can now park the smaller kids' bikes in front without a big mess, and the older kids can pull out or put away their larger bikes without issue. Great find, and it looks good too! ... show more
