Tank is nicely finished and is holding water so far, but is smaller than advertised in every dimension. In particular, the depth is only about 5.1 inches, not 5.9. Would have given five stars if it was not so off in size.

I knew soon as I opened and compared to my 5 gallon tank that this was not 4 gallons. Measured all sides which came out to be slightly over 1 cm less than advertised on 2/3 sides and 2.5 cm less on the last side. When I calculated the volume using my exact measurements It came out to 3.25 gallons. This was also calculated using the width of the class in my measurements as it was shown in the measurements provided in the photo, so the actual volume of water it can hold is even less and is closer to about 3 gallons total. 1 gallon less may not seem like a ton but when when the tank is only a few gallons, it makes a huge difference. I am extremely disappointed ad this is too small for what I was intending to use it for. I decided I’d make the small size work for a shrimp tank instead but it also started leaking water in less than 24 hours. Overall I do not recommend this tank at all ... show more

We purchased this to replace a popular cube aquarium with a filter network at the back of the unit. We confirmed our suspicions that the separation of the tank and filter system wasn't working right. We decided to go with this tank and a Fluval 107 filter and are so happy we did. We've learned a lot over time and wish we would have gone this route in the beginning.
