The box is strong, but like every else, there is usually a weak link. The lock and knob are plastic. It would not close. Only after I opened up the door interior and made some adjustments, could I make it to lock. The level that pushes the 4 side pins, has a broken spot weld. There are only 2 weld and the other look like it's breaking off too. I epoxied it in place and I hope it will hold. The rotary kop is difficult to turn. This kind of lock belongs on a bathroom door, or lunch box. If the manufacturer would have spend maybe $10.00 more on this safe, it would have turned out to be a good save. Support was in touch with me, but it looked like they wear stalling. Returning a big, heavy safe, is not a good option. ... show more

It's a great safe, very solid and heavy and has a shelf that can be removed. The only think it doesn't have that I kinda Wich it did was a light that comes on when you open it.

    • Arrived ahead of schedule, but had some minor cosmetic damage during shipment.

Bought to keep firearms out of the reach of grandkids. Will probably serve that purpose well. Fairly strong, well constructed box, but the locking system isn't ideal and can give a false sense of security. The item I received is, I believe, a revised model, as the "emergency key" is not flat as I saw in demonstration ads, but a small cylindrical key. To operate in keypad only mode, the primary lock must be left unlocked. In this mode, the box can be opened using only the emergency key, bypassing the keypad entirely. I've seen demonstrations where this lock can be defeated with only the plastic barrel of a ball point pen. Pretty much makes the entire box unsecure. The only remedy is to keep the primary lock engaged and forgo the convenience of keypad only mode. ... show more

Very happy with this safe. Very sturdy / solid and good size for the money. Is a bit lighter than I expected but can be bolted in place easily. Definitely a great value for the money!

I was very disappointed the color is Brown not Copper color as advertised, interior is very elegant, I like the under storage compartment. Directions on this oneare poorly written, took me a while to figure out how to open with combo only.
