This is for a professional 6.5" stainless steel hair cutting scissors set that includes a comb, two clips, and a carrying case. These are salon-quality scissors that can be used by barbers or at home. The scissors are lightweight with a smooth polished finish that feels both comfortable and solid in my hand. I ordered this pair of scissors because I like to trim my hair in-between visits to the salon, especially during the humid summer months. It was time for me to get a new pair of professional scissors as the old ones have significantly dulled due to age. Made from quality Japanese stainless steel these scissors are hand sharpened to attain their razor sharpness. I headed to the bathroom to try them out. As I started to carefully cut my hair I immediately noticed how effortlessly these shears performed. They truly are super sharp which made cutting my hair a breeze. One unusual feature these new scissors have is a rounded tip rather than pointed. This made it a bit more difficult to grab hairs to cut so I used the fingers of my other hand to do the lifting. This set also includes two professional clips and a standard black plastic comb plus a slim black case to store everything in. The online description states that these shears have a handle which is offset plus a small sapphire detail, however, the ones I received do not have either feature. The set also includes an excellent booklet with instructions for using and maintaining the scissors. It explains different types of shears, correct handling, and the warranty coverage as well. According to what I read, the scissors I received are a starter level from the Home Pro Series, and are neither right nor left hand specific. I am thrilled that I ordered these beautifully crafted high end scissors and hope they prove to be as durable as my previous shears. This scissors set is a fantastic value plus it makes an excellent gift that most people can use.

The first thing I noticed after unpacking these professional 6-inch hair-cutting scissors was how good they felt in my hand; I instantly knew they were high-quality tools. Now, the description in their listing must refer to a different pair of scissors, because it mentions that the haircut shears are decorated with an artificial blue sapphire in the pivot section. Well, these have a brass colored, pivot, not sapphire. Also, they say it has an offset grip, with the thumb handle shorter than the finger handle; it doesn’t, both are the same length. Neither missing feature affects their ability to work perfectly. These are a good pair of scissors, especially at the extremely low price they’re listed at, making them an absolute bargain. I trimmed my own hair around my ears with these scissors, and they are indeed razor-sharp and meshed together perfectly. There was no space between the blades. If there was, I can see there is an adjustment screw to loosen or tighten the tension, which would take care of the gaps between the two blades. The blades have blunt ends instead of pointed ones to prevent accidentally poking someone or yourself; great feature. They come with a case, a comb, and a couple of hair clips, once again, quite a bit for a little bit of money. So overall, I’m very happy with these scissors, and I know you will be as well.

These scissors are decent. They are on the heavier side which is preferable to flimsy. While they certainly do work, I would not say these are the sharpest hair scissors I've ever owned. That said, they are certainly adequate for the home barber. I used these get the hair around my husband's ears that are hard to get with the razor. They were fine for that. I also used them to "touch-up" my bangs which I am sure I will regret tomorrow. I will of course play dumb when my hairdresser comments about the uneven growth next time I visit. I do like the carrying case/bag and comb. Actually what I really dig are the two enclosed hair clips. I love these kind for my longer hair and they alone are worth the very minimal price of this scissors kit.

I think this is an outstanding deal for this ULG 6" Hair Cutting Scissors Kit. Focusing on the scissors, These are made of a high quality stainless steel that feels heavier than your standard pair of scissors and has an exceptional quality feel when in your hand. This company must offer multiple styles because the manual shows right and left hand scissors as well as thinning scissors in their lineup. These 6" hair cutting scissors are made for either hand. The manual also shows how to correctly use them which is different from how I use scissors, but actually is way more efficient and also helps prevent repetitive injuries. Held correctly you will feel like a professionally trained barber. ULG scissors do a great job of trimming hair because they have been sharpened and precisely tensioned at the factory for a professional cut. The tension can be adjusted later if ever needed, but my pair were perfect right out of the package. The comb and hair clips are of standard quality, and the faux leather storage envelope feels relatively durable and should hold up as a scissor storage case for years to come. At $6 for this set at time of this review, these would be a bargain at twice that price.

I bought these scissors because I cut my husband's and my daughter's hair and I’m really impressed with this kit. This is a set of scissors, clips, a comb and a leather pouch. The scissors have a nice weight to them and the pouch will definitely protect them. I would hesitate to call them professional. They would be okay to trim up some bangs or a few straggler hairs. They are not very sharp but will do in a pinch. They do come in at under $6 so you can't beat the price. They're okay to just have an extra pair on hand.

What you get in this kit makes it easy to justify the price. Everything you need to do a clean home haircut is included, the scissors themselves, a comb, sectioning clips, and a case that actually looks nice sitting on a shelf or tucked in a drawer. The case alone feels like a premium touch, and it keeps everything organized so I'm not hunting for the comb every time I want to do a trim. The cutting performance is where these really stand out. The blades are very sharp right out of the box, and they glide through hair cleanly without any of that dragging or bending that cheaper scissors tend to do. I've been using them to trim my own hair and cut family members hair, and the offset grip design makes a difference.
