Multi-Angle Setup That Actually Works
Recording baseball tournaments means juggling multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. My MEVO camera, shotgun mic, and occasionally an LED light all needed mounting without creating some Frankenstein contraption. This ULANZI triple cold shoe bracket solved that completely. The three cold shoe slots give genuine mounting flexibility. Mic on one side. LED light on another. Leave one open for future expansion or balance weight distribution. That adaptability means one bracket handles multiple recording scenarios instead of buying separate rigs for different situations. The build quality is impressively solid. These aren't flimsy aluminum extensions that wiggle when the wind picks up. The triple mount stays rock-solid even with all three slots filled and equipment properly balanced. Tournament field vibrations, wind gusts, bumpy camera movement—everything stays exactly where you positioned it. The compatibility with MEVO cameras works seamlessly. Cold shoe connection is standard, universal, and secure. No adapter fumbling. No proprietary nonsense. Just mount it, tighten down, and everything's locked in place. Setup takes literally thirty seconds before games start. The weight distribution actually matters when you're hand-holding equipment for extended periods. This bracket's engineering ensures balanced load rather than creating awkward top-heavy situations that tire your arms out by inning three. That practical consideration shows someone designed this for actual use instead of theoretical specs. The cold shoe connections are individually adjustable. Rotate your mic slightly? The light stays perfectly positioned. Need angle adjustments? Each piece moves independently without disturbing the others. That granular control creates professional-looking multi-angle setups. The compact form factor doesn't create bulky overhang that interferes with camera operation. Everything attaches cleanly without making the MEVO unwieldy or unbalanced. Portability between tournament fields remains practical. Multi-camera tournament recording stopped being complicated equipment juggling when this bracket handled everything. Professional-quality mounting setup makes game footage genuinely look broadcast-ready. Every serious tournament broadcaster needs this.Retry

Solid addition but potential limitation depending on use if you use a gimbal unit
Bought this to be able to scale my DJI OSMO 6, mainly for lighting and mic. The piece is solid and like that I can add 3 accessories. For general shoots straight on or if on a tripod, this unit will work fine and I think you'll be happy. Where I found limitations if you're using a gimbal style unit that moves/rotates with the subject. If you're doing a scene from down low, naturally, the gimbal tilts but your mic and light will be facing the ground (just use your fist to imagine the position of the light and mic when holding the gimbal unit, if you're shooting from say knee level, you're going to be holding the gimbal unit with your fist facing down). Which means your lighting and sound is useless until you bring the gimbal back up or you squat or lay down. But if you're doing any type of action/movements scenes and need to stoop while walking, your mic is going to dramatically pick up the sounds of your footsteps and naturally, the light won't be effective. An angled hinge before the shoe mount would resolve all that. Otherwise, you'd have to have a ball mount on each attachment. Anyways, not everyone shoots in that fashion so it may not affect you in majority of the cases.

Simple, inexpensive way to extend the versatility of your gimbal
This is a very versatile device to extend the usefulness of your gimbal (if it has a 1/4-20 tripod screw socket on the bottom of its grip). There are two pieces. One is a four-inch long bracket with 1/4-20 tripod screws on each end. Each of the screws has a 1/4-20 socket on the bottom, so yet another device such as a tripod can be attached. There is also a three slot cold-shoe mount that attaches to one end of the bracket. You can mount microphones, lights, recorders or other small devices on this mount. This is an easy way, for example, to mount a small light on your gimbal`. With a small LED light and Rode mic attached, the balance of my DJI Osmo Mobile 2 was not adversely effective. Construction and finish are top-notch. There is a small rubberized pad on each top surface of the bracket, so firm attachments can be affected. Overall, this is an inexpensive and very effective way to extend the versatility of your gimbal. Jerry

Originally bought for a phone holder and a phone gimbal, works with my DLSR
I originally bought this "cold" hot shoe arm to work with my phone gimbal and a phone holder handle rig. Then I had to cover my Grandson's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby racing event. I knew it would be in a dimly lit interior area and I might need some zoom reach. My typical method is to use my Nikon D750 FX DLSR with a Nikon SB800 flash to shoot photos and my Nikon D7500 DX DLSR with video light to shoot video. I realized I could mount this "cold" arm with a light under the camera using the tripod socket and use the SB800 Flash on the camera hot shot on top. Instead of carrying two cameras, I used just one and easily switched from flash photos to video light for video at the rotation of my U1/U2 knob and Live View button, and did not miss any of the action. Even if I accidentally stayed on my U2 setting which is 1/50 sec for video with auto ISO, the flash still took good photos or I shot good video.

Ulanzi PT-3 Triple Cold Shoe Mounts Plate: Handy Extension Bracket with Some Considerations
The Ulanzi PT-3 Triple Cold Shoe Mounts Plate is a convenient accessory for users looking to expand the capabilities of their gimbal stabilizers, particularly the DJI OSMO Mobile 3/2/4, Zhiyun Smooth 4, and Feiyu Vimble 2. While the extension bracket offers versatility, there are a few considerations to keep in mind. The triple cold shoe mounts provide valuable space for attaching additional accessories like microphones, LED lights, or other compatible gear, enhancing the overall functionality of your gimbal setup. This versatility is particularly useful for content creators or vloggers seeking to capture high-quality audio or improve lighting conditions on the go. The build quality of the PT-3 is satisfactory, with durable materials that feel robust during regular use. The bracket securely attaches to the gimbal stabilizer, ensuring a stable platform for your accessories without compromising the balance of the setup. The compatibility with various gimbal stabilizers is a notable advantage, allowing users to switch between different models without needing additional accessories. This flexibility adds convenience for those who own multiple gimbals or upgrade their equipment over time. However, it's essential to note that the added weight and bulk of the PT-3 may impact the overall balance and handling of the gimbal, particularly during more dynamic movements. Users should carefully adjust their gimbal settings to accommodate the additional load. Additionally, the PT-3 might partially obstruct the view of the smartphone screen, depending on the gimbal model and phone size. This can be a minor inconvenience for users who rely heavily on the screen for framing shots. In conclusion, the Ulanzi PT-3 Triple Cold Shoe Mounts Plate is a handy extension bracket for gimbal stabilizers, offering valuable space for accessories. Its versatility and compatibility across various gimbal models make it a practical choice for users seeking to expand their creative possibilities. However, users should be mindful of the potential impact on balance and screen visibility when using this extension bracket.
