Picked up this pup to share my keyboard and mouse between my home tower and work laptop. As others have noted, the "inputs" and "outputs" appear to be labeled backward, so if it's not working when you first give it a go, try reversing your cables. Also, I was a bit crestfallen when I shut down my work machine for the day before switching the keyboard and mouse to my home computer. That's when I discovered the switch needs power from both machines to work, but my ancient work computer does not keep any USB ports hot when powered down or in sleep mode. I remedied this by buying a powered USB Hub for the laptop, which I sort of needed anyway, and now all is well. This is the only reason I deducted one star. It does take a few (3 to 4) seconds for the mouse and keyboard to switch after you click the button. Not a big issue for my use case, but it might be for you. Lights on the unit are on the small side, but one is green and one is blue, so it's relatively easy to tell which machine has the input. Note this device is for keyboard and mouse only. You'll need a full KVM if you wish to switch your video, too, or one with more ports if you wish to switch printers, webcams, and such in addition to the keyboard and mouse. Overall quality seems decent enough for the price, especially since it includes two 5-foot braded USB cables of better-than-average quality. Other than the power issue mentioned above, it works great for my needs. Since both my keyboard and mouse are wired, I don't know how well it will work with RF devices, but I see no reason why there should be a problem. I will update my review accordingly if it dies or exhibits problems before it ought to. For now, however, I am a happy camper.

I have a Windows 10 machine that I am slowly replacing with a new Windows 11. For a while, I kept 2 keyboards on my desk so I could switch between them when I wanted something from the old machine. Using this USB switch allows me to remove one keyboard as I can now switch the keyboard and mouse to whichever machine I want. It works great, almost no lag on switching, and frees up desk space. The included cable made the installation very simple; it just works.

Works great especially for older equipment that doesn't have wifi but need to share devices, like a non-wireless printer. You can share your laptop/desktop with the printer toggling between the two with the push button switch. It's very compact and lightweight (straddles between a pro and con) as if you use thick USB A cables, it could pick up the switch above your desk/table. In case of that, find a spot for the switch and apply double-sided tape underneath it to keep it stationary. The pro is, if you need it be in the "air" depending on your desk/layout, it's light enough for thick USB cables to suspend it in the air. Handy little compact switch, I like it a lot. Great also if you want to share a wireless keyboard with built in track pad like from Logitech (K400.) It comes with two input USB A cables.

this product worked perfectly for exactly 30 days. Then it suddenly caused a beeping sound from my primary computer. Tech-support at my PC builder said that this often happens with KVMs and other switches. Fortunately, I was just in time to be able to return it and get a refund. If the manufacturer says they will issue a refund if the problem occurs during the warranty period might be a good purchase. Otherwise, I would avoid it.

I do love how small and compact this is. It also has a nice, simple black and dark grey color scheme. And while there is a manufacturer logo on top, it is very unobtrusive as it is a different shade of black on black background. I'd actually prefer the whole USB switch was entirely in black, but the dark grey is still nice. I first thought I'd received a dud, as I got no response and no lighting after plugging the cables in. So I opened the instruction book to double-check if I missed something and, weirdly, the "Input" slots are to be connected to the computers and the "Output" slots are for the USB devices. That should definitely be the reverse, but it all works so whatever, in the end. The light is blue for PC1 and switches to green for PC2, as it should be. I like the compactness but it is almost too lightweight. Not almost, it is too lightweight, as it can be difficult to get it to sit flat on the desk with the cables connected. It doesn't lift up too much if you position everything right, but it still would be nice if it had enough heft to stay down. Minor complaints overall, as it functions great, looks good, and even comes with two USB 3.0 cables.
