I purchased this to use in the hospital, so that I could watch movies on my phone without having to hold it. It's very compact, unfolds and folds very easily, and is quite strong. It makes a very satisfying sounding click with each degree that you unfold it, so that if you know which open position you like best (for instance, I like 6 clicks open) you can set it the same way each time. This is handy if you have limited space, like a hospital tray table, and you have to fold it & put it away between uses. I've never tried putting pressure on it, but it's hard to imagine that it would ever collapse unless something large and very heavy squashed it. And my rather large Android phone fit very securely. I did adhere a small sheet of a non-slip product (see photo) which keeps things from slipping, to make it more secure when my phone is on the stand. A small piece of duct tape inside the rounded bottom lip would do the same thing, or any other flexible non-slip product. Really love this stand! Edit: About a week ago I bought a tablet (10" screen; about 1 lb weight), and the cover that functions as a stand is rather flimsy, and collapses without warning. So I tried using the tablet with this stand, and it works very well. So far I've been watching a movie for about 45 minutes now, and no problems with stability. I was a little worried due to the tablets size & weight, but all good. ... show more

Cheap, Effective not sure what else to say. It holds the tablet! It's lightweight, not sure how well it would travel over time, but for me it just lives on my desk. Can't complain!

Overall it's fine, but feels very cheap and makes a loud, unpleasant clacking sound when adjusting the angle. Really not good for an office setting, unless the office is already noisy. In retrospect I wish I'd bought a stand made of aluminum, or just something that didn't sound like ascending the hill of a roller coaster when adjusting. ... show more
