This one does actually work for phone calls. It’s hard to figure out which ones are just audio since some of the descriptions aren’t clear, and Apple doesn’t sell too many of these anymore. This one works great for phone calls, and audio. In my opinion, it’s worth the extra cost. I returned another one that said it worked, but didn’t.

Lately I have become tired of buying new Bluetooth earbuds, only for the batteries to drain faster and faster until they become unusable after a couple of years. I feel bad for the price, someone should’ve figured by now a way to include higher quality batteries that last much longer. But I am tired of them. So I decided to go back to the old-fashioned way of buying wired headphones to listen to my music and podcast . Unfortunately, Apple, and all other devices saw fit in their wisdom to remove the headphone jack. Therefore, I needed a lightning to headphone jack adapter to use. This one seems well built, sound quality is good, for a non-audiophile that I am, but for my purposes, it works really well, and I think going forward, I’m going to keep using my wired headphones more and more, even if they are a tad inconvenient. I’m very happy with this adapter.

This is the one that actually works. The cable is more flexible, the plug more durable, and the connection does what it's supposed to do, just like the OEM ones you can't buy anymore. Don't waste your money on the two packs of garbage which fail so often (if they aren't DOA) that they still manage to cost more in the end despite a price 1/3 the Ugreen on a per unit basis.
