I love the concept of a manipulatable tripod so background isn’t limited if you are using the timer to get in the picture with the family. That said-the remote gives selfies a whole new perspective! The remote works excellently and paired easily with my iPhone. The legs have a soft sponge-like material covering them which I fully expect to wear away after being wrapped around a few tree branches, but that is part of the joy of the really reasonable price.
