After 50~ years of wanting my own drum kit, I finally got one! Yay me! I grabbed some electric drums with mesh heads, and have been enjoying the hell out of them! I’ve been using my favorite Vic Firth 5A sticks, and as I do now, I have always loved them! The only problem is, I’m not this amazing drummer who rips around the set flawlessly. I’m just a guitarist who has always loved the drums. Not having any sort of technique down, I manage to involuntarily toss my sticks across the room, sending my cat out the door in fear of her life! I’m just clumsy that way! 🤷🏽♂️ I also grabbed a decent practice pad, and the Vic’s just don’t seem to fit right for some reason. So they wind up sticking out of an adjacent wall, or impaling my guitar amp or pictures. I saw these, and it looked like they would be perfect for me to practice with throughout my learning stage! They had great reviews, looked amazing, and were recommended for mesh drum heads. I was still leery though; they looked much lighter, and they looked like a kid’s toy. I’m a big kid, so I bought them… When they arrived, they were very nice! The weight was good; not as heavy as Vic likes, but plenty heavy enough, and the grip seemed perfect! But, one set sat in my stick holder, and the other set in the stick holder of the practice pad bag. I guess I was still leery about them. I finally tried them out, and !holy frijole!, they were awesome! The slightly lighter weight made it easier to move around the set, and that grip! I only dropped them once, due to my stick challenged hands, and they hit the ground next to me! There was no launching the across the room! Unfortunately, my cat won’t come in the house when I get anywhere near my kit, and I still have challenged hands. But we don’t talk about that when they’re exposed. They look good and the grips are nice, but they do bend. I'm a little afraid I might hit them too hard and they break.

The media could not be loaded. Can't say enough about these sticks. When I picked them up prior to learning how to play drums about seven or eight months ago. They just felt good in your hand well balanced and have a good rebound when they're striked on a practice drum pad or the real thing. They're nice and lightweight well balanced and feel The Beat of what you tapped it on through the stick to your hand which feels great. I also have the nylon style as well and those play Just Like The Wooden sticks. But they're made of a little bit heavier material which are nice to practice with to get your strength up in your wrist. I myself would not recommend any other stick but a Ubblove stick. ... show more

I've drummed for abou 40 years with the last 15 or so almost exclusively on electronic drums. These sticks work great on mesh heads. They are reasonably light, durable and the handle ensures I don't have to have a gorilla grip when things get moving. Best of all they are pretty cheap and are better than name brand synthetic sticks (and I've tried a lot of them). ... show more

The black non-slip cover provides great grip and sticks to your hand- but it slides off the stick itself. Every 10-15 minutes or so I had to slide it back up the stick. A little more glue to adhere the cover to the stick and it would be ideal.
