I waited until I washed it to write this review. I am happy to say it washed up beautifully. Silky and extremely soft. Cannot beat the price. I have not worn it right out of the shower to say anything about the absorbency but as silky as it is, I don't think it will absorb water well. Great fit and I love the hood. This fleece robe has a really nice feel to it, but we have not washed it yet. I bought the 2X to 3X and I think it runs a little small more like a 2X by itself. It is light weight, but seems to be made very well. The man that we bought this for just wanted a robe to cover himself walking to a family bathroom. It looks very nice and works for him.
