Travel in style with this U.S. Traveler Rio 2-piece Carry-On Luggage Set. It includes a 21" expandable, wheeled upright and a 14" boarding bag. Both pieces of the Rio luggage set meet the FAA carry-on regulations. You can easily slide the boarding bag over the handle of the 21" expandable, wheeled upright, making travel a snap. This US Traveler luggage set's metal hardware holds up to the rigors of the shipping process. Densely woven, 1200D polyester is very strong and keeps water from seeping in through the outside. The handle locks in place securely so you don't have to fiddle with it while you walk. A set of skate wheels make the luggage easier to transport without having to pick it up.

I bought two of these sets, one from Amazon and one from another retailer simply because of color choice. I got the teal one from Amazon and the only thing I noticed, was that this one didn't roll as nicely as the other set I got from the other retailer. They are identical sets. Anyways, it's not bad, I just noticed it. This one rolls over smooth floors, textured floors, the driveway and even the plush carpet. The handle seems sturdy and the extra little bag that slides over the handle is a nice bonus. I travel a lot and have learned the hard way how to maximize my packing and I could easily get a weeks worth of travel out of this bag, if I tried a bit and also used the included smaller bag, I could go even longer with no problem. The teal is really pretty and it all around will work for my needs. I will only use it as a carry on after having my luggage lost and destroyed. Plenty of room to expand. It came with the cheap little lock and key which is fine if you don't have another lock. Overall, I am satisfied. I will update in a few weeks if it is not as expected. ... show more

Perfect for shorter trips/weekend get-aways, or as a child's suitcase. Would be a little small for a weeklong trip, espcially if needing to bring bulker clothes, and or mulitple pairs of shoes. Although, did hold more than expected. Decent quality, stitching, fabric, handles, wheels and zippers are durable. NOT A SPINNER, but does manuver easily. As with other reviews, I also found that this suitcase does not stand-up without falling forward, when packed. Had to always brace it against something or hold it or it would fall over. I like that comes with an additional bag. (If anyone is wondering, it is too small for a standard size laptop.) I did not take it on a plane, so I am not 100% sure it will fit in the overhead compartment, although according to the measurements provided it does. Just looking at it visually, I would think it would easily fit. Inside lining could be better, it is very thin. 2 front pockets are roomy. Large net pouch with zipper on inside lid. Bottom does expand approx. 3/4" - 1", giving you a little added room. Suitcase is relatively light weight and easy to manuver. I ended up going with the light pink color, which I really like, and got several compliments on it during my trip. Main complaint, is that it doesn't stand up on it's own, otherwise good quality product for the price point. ... show more

I’m a flight attendant and I absolutely LOVE this luggage set! Sure, there are other brands to recommend, but THIS was a pleasant surprise. I am shocked at how durable and dependable this set is! I have received multiple compliments on this luggage from other flight attendants, and that’s very telling in itself. The expandable feature on the suitcase is superb and I still have so much room in it even when I overpack. It’s so cute, fits perfectly wherever I want to stow it on the plane, and I have zero complaints. The material of this luggage is absolutely incredible. For the price, I was quite pleased with this carry-on combo. The under seat carry-on appears small but holds quite a lot. It takes up very little space under an airline seat. The suitcase is the perfect allowable carry-on size. It holds enough for one person for about 4 days. The outside pockets provide great accessible space. I bought these because they're the perfect dimensions for airline travel. I like that the carry on nests atop the wheeled suitcase, securely strapped around the retractable handle. The only negative aspect is the suitcase features fixed wheels instead of pivoting casters, so maneuvering it is not as easy as other models. The suitcase itself is great as far as the space in it and the construction. It doesn't feel cheap. The extra bag it comes with is actually more spacious than I expected. I knew going into it that it didn't have 4 wheels but now I'm kind of regretting it. Even when the bag isn't completely full to capacity it tends to be front-heavy and falls over. There is a bar underneath it that is supposed to prevent that but it doesn't really do that for me. Also, on the last trip, the handle randomly got stuck inside and wouldn't pull out all the way? It was like one of the little knobs wasn't engaging to pull it out. I ended up yanking on it hard to get it out of there and it's been fine since. The handle does feel a bit wobby but still does the job just fine. That was the first time it's gotten stuck in the few times I've used it so I wouldn't say it's generally an issue. The suitcase definitely gets the job done but after using it a couple of times I'll probably be looking for a new one that has 4 wheels so it's easier to maneuver and doesn't fall over so much. that I just purchased my second one in camouflage. My other green one became a gift for my daughter-in-law as she recently had to travel. She loves it! I am going for a week & everything fits nicely. It also goes perfectly into the overhead storage so no complaints will be heard from those pesky plane folks. The small matching piece is nice too holding my toiletries, medication & carry on service dog's stuff. It is well made, sturdy, expands & many colors are available. What's not to like?
