  • Works great
I bought this multiple times. It works really well. I make canvases and sell them, this works really well, it tugs the canvas tightly to the wood frame. Highly recommend this.

  • They will break if you put too much pressure on them
This is my second one, just be warned, it took a lot to break, and I didn't do it on purpose, but it did!

  • Well made but needs better spreader spring.
Spreader spring keeps falling out. Stopped putting it back. Pointless. Otherwise works. Well made. Knob helps with leverage,

  • Good tool for the price.
Appears to be a well made tool, works as it should. Initial impressions are all good. Especially considering the reasonable cost.

  • Classic example of why to buy good tools
This is an example of why it's often better to spend a little more to get something worthwhile. The problem is that it works good enough to get by but not really all that good. The spring intended to open the pliers is flimsy, and it catches and binds. The small thing designed to make this tool easy to use in fact makes it harder. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more. This was to be a gift but isn't gift worthy. I have a similar pliers that I've had for over 50 years. It has worked flawlessly the whole time. This one will never do so. Skimpflation - to save a penny on the manufacture they used a smaller gauge wire spring and by doing so rendered the tool much less useful. ... show more

  • good size
This is a excellent set of Canvas Pliers.. not to big not to small .. good weight to them and a spring load. Use to do a lot of stretching of canvases working at an art gallery .. I knew what I wanted and these fit the bill ...
