    • Came Assembled Wrong
Once I figured out the easel was put together wrong and wasn't broke.... it was attached to the feet backwards and needed unscrewed and flipped. I got this as a prop for a photo session, and it worked great for that. The quality isn't the best, but would be fine for a child or someone who just wants to paint a little bit. I wanted the wood for the session, but otherwise, plastic and metal easel work better because you can remove stray paint easier from the ledge. ... show more

Absolutely lovely beginning oil set! You are getting what you are paying for as none of the materials are professional grade, but for a cheap beginner set, this is a great way of getting a lot of supplies quickly. Used several of these to set up a "Bob Ross and Wine Night" with family and this was a good, cheap way of doing it. Will just have to buy more canvases if we wish to repeat the fun event! Do not get if you are wanting something for more serious oil painting matters. The oil is cheap quality and the brushes (lack of knives) do not add enough variance for quality work. ... show more

    • A Great Starter Set And Gift
When my wife wanted to try painting, I bought a similar set. It had everything she needed to explore painting and she is now addicted. I've had to purchase more paint, more brushes, etc. Just a warning, this may be too good if you're giving it to someone you'll continue to support in their craft!

This is a really cute set. You get a lot for the money, too. We are selling our house and set up the study as a nice place to chill, and found our child there one afternoon painting her masterpiece. The paint board might be 8x11 but really looks good. Adjustable for other sizes too.

Never used oil based paint so this gave me everything I needed to start. Easel was great, brushes are okay. Wish it had more than the small tube of white paint as that is gone after 1 use. The pallette was hard to clean and I was worried the water would make it break with how flimsy it is. Great for a beginner who didn't want to invest too much money into something new. ... show more
