I am not a very tech savvy person, but I just purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 and ordered this keyboard to avoid spending over $300 on Apple’s smart keyboard. The keyboard itself is very easy to use, and I feel like I basically have a MacBook again. I love the color options, and I really enjoy the dark purple “raspberry” color of this keyboard. It folds nicely and fits into a 13in laptop sleeve without issue. The keyboard and the iPad Pro together are pretty heavy, but I really feel as though it is high quality. This replace an otter box that the company provided. Everything about this type cover is better than expected. Except one thing…it’s kinda chunky. Pound for pound it is about even with my little 13” Dell. I have found the best use is to use the stand and typewriter to write reviews like this one. If I am just reading, (kindle, e-reader) I pop the I pad off and use it loose. My IPad may be exposed when it is away from the stand, but it’s nice not having a chunky box on it. ... show more

Great keyboard, it’s sturdy, well-made, the battery life is excellent, and the keyboard itself is amazing! It has those raised keys that have the most satisfying feeling/texture and sound when typing on them!!! The back-lit keys looks really nice and there are a whole rainbow of colors to choose from. The magnet is strong that holds your iPad to the device. The only two cons- I like to use my Apple Pencil a lot when handwriting in note apps, and unfortunately this case does not fold flat to hold your iPad in a note-book writing position. I have another basic case to switch to without a keyboard to do all my writing and drawing with since this doesn’t fold flat. The only other con is that the white does get dirty easily (but it looks the best!) - but that happens with any white products you buy it’s not specific to this case or company. Also, the only part that gets dirty is the part that you do NOT see when it’s open, the inside of the keyboard is a white pearlescent plastic material so you can wipe that clean if needed! I like the colors. I like the compact form, but not the black keys. Over all, I would have kept the Magic keyboard folio if it had come in colors other than black and white. When I got this, I returned an Apple magic keyboard. I purchased this to compare, and in the end, could not justify the extra $200 for the convenience of wireless charging. However, that's not the only difference I've noticed. Much to my dismay, I have observed that the iPad does not attach firmly to the magnetic case. It repeatedly falls off during use and the position doesn't readily adjust. In all, I can't wholeheartedly recommend this item, though unlike what someone else said about it, it is definitely not trash. However, I will have to be extra careful with it. I may return this one if they cannot offer a suitable exchange. My magnetic pencil stays on the iPad until the case is closed. Then, all bets are off. Of course, there's no "find my pencil" feature on the iPad, so this new tool is just gone. ... show more

    • Made of weak faux leather material…
My biggest fear with this case came true. First off the structural design on this thing is awesome. The way it sits and hold the iPad is awesome. The keyboard is great. There is just 1 major flaw. It’s wrapped in this soft faux leather material that starts to split and crack with the opening and closing of the case. I have had mine for under two weeks and have used it for light in home use and the corners are starting to crease, crack and split. This doesn’t impact the use of the as the faux leather isn’t structural but it will sure make you VERY angry when you spend $150 and have to deal with this ugly appearance issue after a couple of weeks. I hate to imagine what it will look like after a couple months. Update: I processed a return and replacement for this case to give it one more shot. The return/replacement was set up on 2/1 and was set to arrive 2/2. On the morning of 2/3 I got a notification that the package was lost but still on its way… by the 5th nothing had changed so I reached out to Amazon and was told that I would need to pay for a replacement (so pay for the same item twice) and then wait for it to arrive then reach out to them on the chat for a refund on the replacement. All the while my original replacement case was still stuck in space somewhere and my account said it might be coming and it might not. So this whole thing has been a bit of a mess. I’m out $300+ and still waiting for a worthy replacement. ... show more
