I bought this keypad to save some money but it works so great! I love it works like the magic pro keyboard. The battery life is so long Ive had it for a few weeks and it I haven’t needed to charge the keyboard. The touch screen works so great with this keyboard and the sturdiness is wonderful. They keys are soft and fast. I like this case. I didn’t want to spend the extra $ for the Apple Magic Keyboard case so I figured I’d give this a shot being I’m a fan of the floating design. The keys are really nice to type on and love the function keys at the top for quick iOS actions. The hinge is strong and sturdy and the magnetic hold very well. Where it falls short is the track pad and it’s sleep function. The trackpad doesn’t work all that well. You have to press it at precise locations at the bottom to click and I find it easier to just tap to click. It sometimes jumps around and isn’t as precise or smooth to use. On top of that, it seems to have zero palm detection and my palms constantly activates it while typing, resulting in random actions happening. Luckily they have a button that you can press to turn the trackpad off. Unfortunately every time the keyboard goes to sleep, it turns the trackpad back on so you have to keep disabling it. Another aggravating thing is how quick it’s goes to sleep. Only after a couple minutes it goes into sleep mode and when I go to use it again, I have to wait for it to reconnect. I wish they gave you the option to disable auto sleep. Also the battery life is pretty poor if you’re using the backlit key options. I normally have to charge mine every 2 days. I feel like they could fix most of these options with a firmware update but until then, it’s got some kinks that need to be worked out to be perfect. ... show more

I purchased this keyboard less than a year ago and a few weeks ago some of the keys stopped working. I tried contacting the manufacturer but it would ring a few times and then hang up. I then contacted Amazon to see if there was anything they could do to help and was told that if I purchased a new Typecase Edge Keyboard, they would refund me after it was delivered to my house (I had to do this since the 30 day return window had closed). I did what was asked and when I received the new keyboard I reached back out to Amazon for a refund. I was then informed BY AMAZON that the employee I chatted with had LIED to me and they don’t actually make exceptions like that… I spoke with a supervisor and the supervisor told me he would make the exception because I was lied to and credit my debit card back. Fast forward a week I never received the credit back to my debit card and had to chat with Amazon again! This time I asked them to just give me a credit to my Amazon account, I did finally receive the credit thankfully. However, I’ve only had the new keyboard for about a week and it won’t even turn on now. So now I have to do the whole process over again and hope they will help me. It has been a nightmare of a process, and I wish I would have just purchased the Apple Magic Keyboard to avoid all of this. I would not recommend buying this keyboard, if you’d like to skip the headache of trying to get your money back for it after it craps out. ... show more

I really wanted to love this because it improves on several Apple features and you can’t beat the price. Unfortunately, I’m returning it and will end up paying more than 3 times the price for the Apple OEM one. Bottom line, the magnet is very weak. I gently bumped the iPad while typing and it flew off. Thank goodness I was on my bed. Within an hour, I had to adjust it back in place at least 3 more times. I tried to carry it from my car into the house and almost lost my iPad. It’s simply not with the savings if I destroy an expensive iPad. I liked the colored lights (very pretty, but more limited in color selection than I thought), and the top row of shortcut buttons was great. Keys have a good feel and are reasonably quiet. Someone commented that the caps key doesn’t light when caps lock is on. True, but there is an indicator at the top right, above the shortcut buttons, although it can be difficult to see depending on the angle of the screen. Bluetooth connectivity was seamless — no lag, no issues. I could live without the pass-thru charging, but I won’t own this long enough to know how long the keyboard charge lasts during regular use. It does not auto sense darkness, so the lights are more likely to drain the battery. I don’t like having to turn off the lights manually, and turning off the keyboard altogether is useless. Too heavy! Apple’s latest version is lighter than their original (I have one and also compared at the Apple Store), but this keyboard is noticeably heavier than either Apple version. Weight is an issue when carrying multiple devices in a case or backpack. Compared to Apple (original version): the iPad sits about an inch higher (good!), but it doesn’t tilt quite as much (noticeable, but I didn’t hate it). Bye bye affordable eye candy — going with the OEM version and I’ll just have to eat top ramen all month to make up for it ;-) ... show more

Nice folding feature to protect Ipad pro screen Easy to connect using bluetooth. Only issue is it is a real pain in the azz to stop the onscreen keyboard from popping up frequently. That is an Apple issue experienced by many users as I found out when scouring the internet to stop it popping up. It is not an issue with this particular keyboard.
