    • Don't ever buy car parts off of Amazon
Paid somebody $200 to put this in drove it around the block came back car died put a tester on the alternator that I just bought and had put in and it was dead had to call a tow truck and take it to a shop costed another $500 they told me never buy car parts off of Amazon because they are garbage and because I had to wait so long because my husband had a stroke or putting a nursing home we didn't put it in right away so now I can't even get my money back for The bad part ... show more

So far so good. Works. Pefect fit for 2007 Honda fit. Only thing I recommend is that you may need to use a C-Clamp and socket on the locking nut to press it in.

    • bought and failed within a week
bought it from amazon cause it had decent reviews but mostly cause was low cost. got it and mechanic already had car so took more than 30 days to install, which put me outside window to return. mech put it in, failed within a week. would not charge battery, brought to autozone, they did the test, said alternator was bad. then brought to mech and he confirmed. luckily amazon went to bat for me and accepted the return, i explained it failed within 30 days if consider it wasnt put in car till 3+ weeks. anyhow, sometimes its better to let mech shop buy it cause then there is no labor cost if his procured part fails. i would not buy this one again for sure ... show more

    • Initial output after instal was 14.2V, post 2 weeks of use, zero output voltage. New replacement Installed & is within spec!
Was installed on 07/27/18, after 2 weeks of use, the output voltage was zero.Further testing showed Bad Diodes. Pursued a warranty claim, and was sent a new one, providing the defective part was returned...will update review once new is installed.... 08/10/18 Received new replacement alternator from Amazon. Initial voltage output during idle is 14.42V. Everything within spec. Will continue to update on performance. One thing to note, Amazon Customer Service is AWESOME!!! Revising my review from 1 to 4 stars!!! ... show more

Alternator works. Does have a audible whine though. You can hear it at idle and low speeds.
