Like other reviewers I've read, my first experience with this "light" wasn't brilliant. When I assembled it and plugged it in for the first time, I was greeted with a burst of light that lasted about 2 seconds, then the lamp failed. Only by unplugging it and plugging it after a delay would reset the lamp, and then only for about 2 seconds. I assembled and plugged in the replacement lamp, and it works perfectly. I was not expecting it to produce as much light as it does. The remote works well to turn on and off the power, and to adjust a timer (a preset to run for the established time each day at the same. It also adjusts the wide range of colors and color patterns this tree is capable of producing. The physical "tree" has a black metal base that the "limb" slips into and is tightened with a screw. The branches must be unfolded and fluffed. Each branch has a single light on the tip. The lamp is provided with a lengthy cord, and does require a specialized power adapter (provided) or operate. The limbs of the tree are all black, so that it fits into it's surrounding area. I'm pleased with the product (now that it works,) and I enjoy having this create a bit of warmth in the corner of my living room. My only trepidation about recommending the tree is the apparently significant number of failures. However, if you're willing to take a chance and you get one that works, I think you'll be satisfied with the results. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just HATED to say goodbye to our 2-ft. fiber optic Christmas tree in our family room after the holidays. We finally took it down at the end of January because company was coming and my husband said "enough already"... So, I researched other fiber optic trees to replace the Christmas tree, and after exhaustive hours of watching videos and reading reviews, I finally decided on this one. Well, I just LOVE it! I turn it on every morning when coffee is brewing. Brightens up the area above our speaker to the left of our large screen tv, and it just makes me happy! Haven't experimented much with the remote because I like the settings this RGB tree came with and don't want to screw it up. It comes in a box which is smaller than you'd think, but that's just because the branches are folded in half. Just takes some bending and arranging to your liking. I received the tree and it worked for one day. The next day, nothing. The remote never worked. I returned it and I received the second tree. It worked beautifully and the remote has limited use but the switch on the tree controls it just fine. I give it 4 stars because of the remote not working properly. I thought it was probably time to take down my tabletop fiber optic Christmas tree. I just got this yesterday and I really love it. The colors are bright, and it makes me happy to just stare at it! It was easy to assemble, and you can adjust the branches for different looks.

This was a sweet addition to our living room. I was missing our Christmas tree and this gives me year round color. I like the variety of colors and color combinations, as well as lots of display settings. It was a good price and well worth the money!
