Picked this to make a privacy screen to hide some tools and hang some plants. The unpacking and assembly couldnt be easier, everything is neatly separated and the screen is pretty light and easy to move around The poles are metal with plastic ends and the slats are plastic. It looks nice when set up. My only quibble with this is pretty major....my box was missing the feet that allow this to free stand on a patio. I see another review mentioning the same issue. I wouldn't have chosen this product for my application if the listing (and enclosed instructions) didn't list the feet as included.

This privacy screen looks fairly nice when fully assembled. Assembly wasn’t entirely smooth, but it wasn’t too bad. The bottom slats are held up by a set of rubber bands on each of the posts. So the first step is the make sure these rubber bands are at the same height. On the product that we received, the bands were not the same height, so we had to spend some time comparing and adjusting the rubber bands to the specified height (about 11.8 inches). Sticking the slats onto the posts was sometimes hit or miss. Sometimes, the angle is just right and it slides on smoothly. Other times, it is quite tight and it requires some effort to force it into place. Once all slats are in place, the product comes with two sets of rings that fit at the top. One set is for single rings, but the other set allows you to attach one privacy screen with an adjacent screen—this is a nice option if you purchased multiple screens. The materials appear to be solid and quite durable, but the overall screen still felt relatively light. You can definitely hang plants and other items on the slats. The PE coating feels smooth and quite nice, and it adds to the overall aesthetics of the finished screen. The light brown and dark brown colors match quite well, and the spacing between the slats look quite nice. The downside is that fit and finish were not precise and there were some missing parts. Firstly, there are some gaps between the post connectors. Each post connector is pretty much sitting on one another, but some have slight gaps in between. The posts come in three sections, and the section connectors can pull apart quite easily. This is not a huge issue, but just keep in mind if you push up on some of the slats to lift the screen up, it might disconnect part of the post. Also, the cone-shaped stakes at the bottom are made of plastic. The product pictures might lead you to believe that they are metallic and a single piece with the steel pipes. Unfortunately, our product did not come with the T-shaped base or the two types of screws. The manual mentioned that these should have been included, but we are missing all three items.

I set up the privacy screen-- the screws and floor feet were all missing from the box. So-- I decided to set it up with the the ground points. The poles slide together-- which while trying to set it up can be a bit tricky as they come undone while you are trying to put it in the ground. I got one pole in the ground-- and then the second one-- putting the slats on was tricky when they were completely in the ground. Moving the slats down the pole-- loosened the pole in the ground. So, I continued to place the slots on-- and then tried to get it in the ground-- but no matter how far into the ground I placed the poles-- once the light wind blew-- it blew with the wind-- OVER! My husband is going to attach some metal stakes in the ground and attach the privacy screen to it-- to keep it more sturdy in the ground. Once all the slats are in place-- the poles stay together. The slats are nicely spaced and are sturdy once in place. Not placing the privacy screen on our deck area-- we did not need the feet or the screws-- but you will need some sort of attachment to keep the screen in place-- as the poles are not sturdy enough. Right now it is leaning against our garden wall-- and it looks nice-- I just can't wait for it to be in the ground!
