  • This is What an Adult Smells Like
Scent: Dior Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet I...
I've never smelled Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet in person so I can't attest to the accuracy -- but this stuff is heavenly. I'm 51 but I would have liked it when I was in my 30s as well. That said, I don't understand the recent obsession with smelling like a fruit salad. There's nothing fruity or gourmand about this fragrance but in my opinion, it doesn't smell like an old lady. It also doesn't smell like a child. There is the tiniest bit of sweetness but it's not unpleasant at all. While no one wants their scent to be described as 'inoffensive' (aka boring) this is indeed a delicate fragrance. I would describe it as appropriate -- for everywhere except a nightclub or a doctor's office. It's floral but not in-your-face and it's not overpowering, unless you choose to do overpowering. Do you. Definitely a daytime, early summer scent that could be worn all year if you were to wear just one signature scent. While I wouldn't call it sensual I would call it expensive and classic. Definitely not something I ever thought I'd want to be described as. XD On the box, it reads 70% perfume alcohol 30% aroma oil with an expiration date of 12/26. I'm not smart enough to know what that means but hopefully the info helps someone else. There's no trace at all of "old product" smell you can sometimes get on the Big A; I'm extremely confident this is a brand new product. There's also no weird chemical smell you can get with some fragrances and I'm really happy with it. Cruelty free but also 'clean' smelling, in the sense that it doesn't smell like a factory-produced stink bomb. My brother took care of my grandmother's garden when we were younger. She had peonies and roses in the side garden that bloomed right after the lilacs faded. The fragrance smells exactly like that -- that blooming garden after a good early summer rain, with the faintest edge of green, the last of the lilacs and clean air you weren't afraid to breathe. I feel like a tw*t for describing it that way, but it is a dead ringer for that very specific scent memory. I'm just glad it doesn't remind me of my grandmother. She was...formidable. And she smelled like cigarettes. The scent doesn't 'reach out' to others in an uninvited fashion either. I have to be careful wearing perfume around the house because my elderly mother has hit-or-miss sensitivities to many of the chemicals in cosmetics. This didn't bother her at all. She hates florals (ugh! the women in my family!) and she found this very pleasant. I'd call it elevator-safe but not hospital safe. Really ladies, don't wear any fragrance to the hospital. Rude! So far, I've been wearing this for about 6 hours (with a turbulent nap -- I'm a thrasher) and it's lasted beautifully on me. I don't know much at all about sillage etc but: you'd have to get within 3 feet to smell me. With one spritz on my cleavage and one shared spritz on my wrists I can smell it on myself well without getting a headache. Those more fragrance-educated than me can translate that to sillage. But it has endured the day. Also, the manufacturer's address shows the area where my ex-husband grew up, in UA. Gosh, I hope you guys are okay. I'm honored to discover that I've supported your business. I'd send you my own heart if I could. I'm so sorry we let you down. ... show more

  • Don’t expect authentic oudh
Scent: Attar Collection Musk Kashmir Impression
This perfume claims to be oudh-inspired, but as someone like me who regularly uses traditional oudh, the scent feels more like an interpretation. It’s missing the rich, smoky depth I associate with oudh. That said, it definitely earns points for longevity, the fragrance sticks around impressively throughout the day. The packaging is very basic: a lightweight plastic spray bottle that gets the job done. Overall, worth a try if you’re looking for a budget-friendly scent with lasting scent, just don’t expect authentic oudh. ... show more

  • Scent- Lost Cherry
Scent: TF Lost Cherry Impression
I will preface with I am looking to replace my current signature, Mii.Miic 79, with a more affordable Lost Cherry dupe. The scent is missing the leathery, warm component. The cherry is medicinal, syrupy, and once the fragrance settles and warms it leans more soapy, akin to a dryer sheet. It is a nice, clean fragrance but all together not quite what I’m after. Sadly, the known issue of the bottle leaking is very much apparent. It does so profusely, with as much product being atomized also being leaked onto your hand and flooding down the nozzle. However this is an easy fix by transferring to a different vessel. The fragrance stays well enough in fabric and hair, being notable for a few hours before becoming very subtle and soft, I get about an hour on the skin before it’s nearly gone entirely. Overall worth the money if you’re after a clean and kind of soapy, mildly medicinal cherry scent ... show more

  • Concrete Canvas
Scent: Nas Black Afgano Impression
Okay, so I snagged this "TWINS Impression of Black Afgano" – the No. 1197 – figuring I'd see what the hype was about. It arrived in a surprisingly sleek, matte black box. Minimalist, almost industrial, which definitely hinted at the scent profile I was expecting. Inside, the bottle felt solid, weighty glass with a simple, unadorned label. It wasn't flashy, but it had a certain understated cool that resonated with the urban vibe I was after. The atomizer delivered a generous, even mist, which is always a plus. The shipping was pretty standard – arrived within the expected timeframe, well-packaged with plenty of protection, so no worries about it getting banged up in transit. First hit of the fragrance? Definitely not your typical fresh-out-the-shower vibe. This stuff announces itself. Imagine walking past a late-night bonfire in a hidden alleyway, the air thick with woodsmoke and something a little… raw. Not like cut grass, more like the deep green of overgrown vines pushing through cracked pavement. There's a definite urban edge to it, a smoky haze that feels both gritty and strangely smooth. As it settles on my skin, that initial blast chills out, and I start picking up this richer, almost sweet undercurrent. Think less candy store, more like the subtle sweetness of dark roasted coffee beans or maybe even a hint of aged leather. It's got this grounded, almost asphalt-y feel to it, but in a luxurious way, you know? Like a high-end boutique tucked away on a backstreet. This isn't the kind of scent that fades into the background on a crowded subway car. It's got a presence, a definite point of view. When I've worn it out, people don't just say "You smell good." They lean in and ask, "What is that?" There's a complexity that feels a bit mysterious, like a hidden mural you stumble upon in the city. I'm no fragrance expert, but the overall feel is dark, smoky, and surprisingly… comforting in a tough way. It's the kind of scent that makes you feel a little bit like you own the night, like you know something others don't. It definitely hints at that whole Black Afgano vibe I've heard about. Whether it's a perfect match? Who knows. But No. 1197 stands firmly on its own as a seriously cool fragrance, and it's become my go-to when I want something with a bit more edge, something that reflects the energy of the city. If you're into scents that are bold, smoky, and have that undeniable urban grit, you should check this out. Just be ready to turn some heads on the sidewalk. ... show more
