I absolutely adore these lights! I use them as the main light source and lighting feature in my apartment and have zero complaints about them. The fact that I can choose to highlight specific as well as the lighting levels is ace. The copper wires can be fragile, so please take note of that when installing and choosing where to place them. Also note that these are constant lights, there are no twinkling or slow pulse glow options on this set, just super long strands where you can control your light levels from a low glow to a bright shine. Finally, to test the heat output, I left the lights coiled around the cardboard slot they came wrapped around and plugged it in at the highest light level. Even after an hour, the lights were only slightly warmer than my hand, so heat is definitely not an issue with the lights. Highly recommended! My only reason for not giving a five star review was that there is often a card in box with a QR code and a request to register for a warranty and contact them directly for any issues. Despite following the process repeatedly, I've never received confirmation of the warranty or assistance for the last purchase where one wire detached a couple days after installing them. Ultimately, I went through the Amazon return process and received a refund for a replacement, so all is well! ... show more

Work fine, and very attractive addition to our deck railing for Christmas. Seem to survive Washington State winter weather just fine all the wet weather doesn’t seem to hurt them. One complaint I see frequently is the need to turn on their power switch every time power is cut, so can’t use them with timers, etc. this is easily solved by putting a clamp on the power button when turning the lights on, then you can operate them from a timer, external switch, etc. I first learned this from an earlier post on this site, and it works! ... show more

Had a similar type of string last year, but the maker isn't online any more. Went searching for something that was multicolored, non-flashing and in the fairy-style with the very thin wire but the lights pretty bright. Found these and have been quite pleased with them. I have a string around our bedroom window and the office window. They look great and don't take a lot of support to keep in place. (Used to have rope lights until they burnt out and those are a pain to put in place compared to these.) My only criticism is that you can't put these on a timer. You have to push the button on the cord to turn them on. I have them in an Alexa plug to turn on and off, but when the plug turns on the lights are still off. They do turn off (because the power from the plug gets turned off), so it's not a deal breaker. It would be nicer, however, if they just turned on when the power is connected. Not enough to remove a star, since I probably should have been able to tell this based on the description and previous purchases, but a suggestion for a future iteration and warning to anyone expecting these to work on a timer or Alexa-type remote home device. ... show more
