    • Great, real leather case that quickly adjusts to your stuff
This is fantastic - I've bought 4. I wore out my first and replaced it after 3 ½ years, bought one for my wife, and bought this one for my new iPhone X. I've loved this case. Beware that there are other sellers trying to pass cheap knock-offs as the real deal. I bought one, and it fell apart pretty quickly. There are some complaints that the leather case won't close all the way. When you take it out of the box, it will ALMOST close all the way. When you load it with your ID and a few credit cards (I have 3 in the slots, and another 5 cards in the pocket), it will take a while to stretch and adapt. Just like leather shoes. After a while, It adjusts to what you have in it and closes just fine. The leather is first rate - soft but sturdy, with a great feel. The cut out on the back for the camera and flash is pretty unobtrusive, but it does hurt the illusion of it being a tiny book. I've dropped it many times in this case, and, while it doesn't warranty any damage, it has done a great job of protecting my phones. I get compliments on the look of it all the time, especially when I pretend it's a tiny book. Highly recommended. ... show more

This is a beautiful real leather case for the iPhone 7 Plus (the big one), which, when opened, has a series of credit card and money holder slots. You could use this for a replacement wallet, if you wish. A very nice feature is that the case will also open and flex so that you can use it as a stand. Being real leather, make sure you check it to ensure there are no areas on the case you are not satisfied with. It has an attractive finish to the leather, not too shiny, but smooth texture. The inside (the part that holds the phone itself) is lined with a soft material to help protect the phone. It's pricey, but it's real leather, and it's a bit unusual, too. Note: Be careful with the leather. It does seem slightly prone to snags. Nothing to be bothered about, but as a real leather item, you just have to give a little thought to what is rubbing against it (keys, etc.). ... show more

Bought this is for an old phone and was on sale at amazing price. Very nice. Bought the tan and was pleasantly surprised how expensive the leather looks and feels. Phone fits well, no worries about it falling out of case. Provides excellent drop protection. Took off 1 star because when putting credit cards (2 plus driver’s license) in slot, the cover doesn’t close well. Without cards, case snaps shut. ... show more

    • Expensive but not durable.
I initially thought that the product was good quality, it certainly looked good. However after only being used for 6 months the plastic that holds the phone in place has broken, meaning that the phone can fall out. Also the stitching on the material where the credit cards are held has come undone and so cards can fall out also. I would not recommend this product, although it initially looks good, it is not particularly durable, especially for the price. ... show more

    • Excellent. Lasted a long time, and good balance between looks and durability
I have owned this case for about two years. After dropping the case/phone many times, finally some plastic on it broke, and it is no longer in service. But I think this was an excellent case. It is very useful because you can keep 2-3 cards in it, plus some cash hidden away. All in all, it became a trusted friend in my travels, and I would not hesitate to buy another product from Twelve South. As I said in my title. I also think it is a good balance between looks and durability. I have bought more expensive cases, but then felt bad about bringing them biking etc. Or I have a plastic case, for day to day use, but it looks like plastic, plus the plastic case only holds two cards, and won’t hold any cash. I don’t really use my phone much to play games or watch videos, but it was nice to be able to position it for such viewing. Excellent case. ... show more

This is a very nice peice of leather. The feel of it is good and well made. While pricey compared to the other options, it is worth it for something that will last the life of the phone. I bought it to replace my phone case and wallet. It does. The only adaption is that I have had to pare down my wallet to 4 cards and 3 bills. More than that it gets bulky. It is more book-like so that it is not suited to use in one hand. I do find the stand-like feature more useful than I thought. As phone protection, it is as good as any other case with some better screen protection when closed. The other consideration that I have is that the phone no longer fits into my car holder. In summary, this simplifies my phone/ wallet combination but only if you limit your cards. ... show more

    • ID Card slot not up to snuff
Overall, this is a nice case, but there is one very annoying design flaw: The clear ID window slot is not stitched up securely. This means if you slide your ID card out often it will "catch" in two different ways. When pushing it in, the thin, black fabric at the back will get pushed down and start bunching up; and when pulling it out, it will get caught on the leather strip above, pushing the leather up. You can be a little more careful and get the ID card in and out easily, but if you are removing it a lot it will happen more often than not. A frustrating annoyance that shouldn't happen at this price point, in my opinion, than severely flaws the enjoyment of an otherwise very nice case. ... show more

    • My favorite case so far
I’m a fan of wallet cases and have been a devoted Distil Union Wally user for years, but since they haven’t released one for the iPhone X I figured I’d give this one a go. The leather is great quality and breaks in as you’d expect. The case surrounding the phone isn’t too bulky but seems like it will provide adequate protection in case of a tumble. The card storage is in the front so no worries about the inductive charging feature of the iPhone X. The wallet holds two cards and an ID comfortably. My favorite feature is probably the kickstand for watching videos in landscape. I’d recommend getting a glass protector for your phone though, as it will protect your display from your dusty/dirty cards when the case is closed.
