This stand is sturdy and looks beautiful on my desk. My laptop fits in it perfectly. It is well made as is all of the Twelve South items I have purchased. This is not cheap but it is very high quality. I am very happy I purchased it!

Simple product with study build, It fits tightly and because of the upright position allows the fans/cooling system in the back to operate with the obstruction of the table. Mac runs cooler with this. Great if you want this as storage or if you have a Monitor and don't need the MacBook to take up additional space on your desk. The only issue is that the Space Gray Color is a little lighter than the MacBook, at 60$ retail price you'd expect a close enough match. After a while, I got over it and didn't notice it as much unless I stare at it for a while.

If you listen to the reviews you'll never purchase anything. Specifically if you go by reviews of this product alone, you're going to never purchase it. There I helped you. But if you're a free thinker and do what's best for you, do yourself a favor and purchase one - you might be surprised at how well it does what it is supposed to do - and if you don't like it, return it. The BookArc works just fine, it's made of aluminum, super high quality and it includes all the necessary inserts to make your MBP standing experience a good one. Will it match perfectly? Nope. Will it hold a MBP with a case? Nope. Should you know this going in to the purchase...yes. But things like that should be common sense, I mean, there's a million different cases in a million different thicknesses - don't make your decisions based on what Kyle expects his experience to be. For what this is, it is perfect. It's a stand. A minimal stand. It stands your MBP up on end. It's literally ALL it does. If you have an issue with it, then I assume you're nothing more than someone who likes to complain. In fact, I ignored the reviews and it works as advertised. A one piece, machined aluminum stand that sits on my desk and holds my MBP. Wow. Imagine that.

I was pretty skeptical of this purchase, but since my employer was paying for it, I figured I would pull the trigger. I had another stand that tore up an old MacBook and my chromebook, this looked promising It does come with different inserts depending on your MacBook size and date of manufacture My 2020 MBP 16” fits pretty well in it. I really thought it would give a lot more wiggle when my hybrid desk would move up and down, but it doesn’t. If you have the money, I would recommend it

Looks great but construction is really flaky when I put my MacBook Air in (maybe it's too narrow for it). It's just slightly touch it to when I put something into port, for example, to make it tumble over. I have a previous version of BookArc with rubber inlines and its construction is much more stable.
