Would give 0 stars if possible. Claims to be “wood”, is cheaply pressed if that. A struggle for pieces to align, and once put together leaned forward a ton. NOT worth the money if you’re looking for something to last.

This bookshelf is absolutely stunning. I placed it in my entryway, and it instantly elevated the space. Even my 5-year-old noticed it and said how much they loved it, which says a lot! Assembly was straightforward. The base took the longest, but once that was done, everything else went smoothly. I assembled it by myself, and the instructions were easy to follow. I do recommend using a drill for attaching the back panel and securing the shelf to the wall. The wall securement is excellent, which was very important to me since I have young kids who may try to climb it. The bookshelf feels sturdy, not flimsy at all, and looks much more expensive than it is. I have a lot of books and can’t wait to fully style and display them. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it. ... show more

I appreciate the cost of this, but question its durability. The “wood” shelves are strangely light weight. The sides are all very thin paneling. Setup was easy enough. I’m just not sure it will hold up to my kids.

The wood is lightweight and cheap. Some pre-drilled holes did not line up,resulting in cracks and one corner breaking off. I managed to salvage the item by leaving off one entire shelf. I kept it only because I needed it and returning would be a pain. Do not buy this overpriced cheap piece of junk.

Fairly easy to put together, my husband and I assembled it in less than an hour (we had to back track and take it apart a couple times) but other than that I am very happy with my purchase. I purchased this bookshelf for $149.99, expecting something that would be sturdy enough to justify the price. Unfortunately, it fell well short of those expectations. The first issue appeared during assembly. Using nothing more than light pressure, the wood chipped and fractured around one of the fasteners. The material itself doesn’t inspire confidence it feels less like engineered wood and more like dense Styrofoam with a veneer over it. The finish also has a strong odor that reminds me of old, inexpensive lacquer, which lingered longer than I would have liked. Assembly was straightforward, and I’ll gladly give credit where it’s due. The instructions were clear, easy to follow, and the overall process was simple. However, despite carefully following every step, several pieces didn’t align correctly. I ultimately had to disassemble and rebuild the unit just to get everything to fit together more reasonably. Even after doing so, the bookshelf still has a slight curve and never sits quite as square as it should. Once assembled, the unit doesn’t feel particularly sturdy. For something at this price point, I expected a much more solid, confidence inspiring piece of furniture. Instead, it feels delicate enough that I find myself being cautious every time I move it. In the end, the only aspect I genuinely appreciated was how easy the instructions made the assembly process. Beyond that, the quality of the materials and the final product simply don’t justify the $149.99 price tag. ... show more
