This is a beautiful desk once it is put together. We read another review stating that the pieces did not fit together, which we also ran into. However, we read the installation instructions again and realized that there were notes in the manual to check the orientation of certain pieces. We flipped some things around and were able to put the desk together properly. Some different items were labeled with the same number, so this also caused some road bumps along the way. Putting the desk together took about 3-4 hours, but once we completed the project we were happy with the product. Perfect desk to help me run our small business from home. I assembled it all on my own. If I had a power tool it probably wouldn’t have taken as long to assemble. It’s sturdy and has plenty of storage. Our printer fits perfectly as well.

Shelf on top of desk is very narrow front to back and not good for large monitors like my 34 inch curved LG monitor. The file drawers are to short for hanging files with the plastic name tags on top and they are pushed flat when the drawers are closed. The painted top surface of the desk is not very durable and shows scratches easily. The back wall behind the printer has no hole for the power cord so I had to drill one myself. As far as assembly is concerned it was straight forward and took about 2 hours with an extra pair of hands needed only on the larger pieces. Desk is very sturdy and legroom is adequate even with my shredder underneath. I have an Epson 2800 printer which uses all of the desk top space over the file drawers so any printer larger than this will not fit. The shelf over the rear of the printer makes it difficult to load paper in the paper tray. Overall a decent home (not office) desk but needs to have the above issues/drawbacks corrected because they are very frustrating for something that could be really nice. It should also be noted that as far as esthetics go this is a very nice looking desk. ... show more
