šŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The dresser appears to be an aesthetically pleasing choice with modern design, matching well with existing furniture. However, assembling can be challenging and time-consuming; those without DIY experience may find it hard, but with patience, it is manageable. The dresser is sturdier and lasts longer than IKEA equivalents, however, the drawers are not deep and can't bear heavy load.

Pros

  • šŸž The modern design and white color matches different interiors.
  • šŸ”© Assembly possible by an individual, not necessarily needing two people.
  • šŸ”„ Longer lifespan than similar IKEA items.

Cons

  • šŸ›  Assembly can be quite time-consuming and needs patience
  • šŸ“˜ The instructions are mostly pictures, which may be confusing for some.
  • šŸ‹ The drawers are not deep and can't bear heavy load, indicating a potential durability issue.

Should I Buy It?

Yes, if you are looking for a stylish, budget-friendly dresser and don't mind investing time in assembly. However, if you have a large volume of heavy clothes or lack patience and DIY experience, you may want to consider other options.

  • Takes Time and Patience
Color: White
I'm a middle-aged woman with very weak wrists, but I was able to assemble the dresser by myself. It turned out perfect. It matches the bookcase/cabinet that I bought from another company perfectly. It's very modern and looks cute in my office. That being said, it is small. The depth is pretty shallow, and, as another reviewer stated, the drawers only come out about halfway. Material-wise, you're getting engineered wood of various types and thicknesses. You have to be very careful and follow all of the instructions. If you rush or get sloppy, you might mess it up. This took me several hours to put together by myself. Don't use a drill or you run the risk of damaging the pieces. I used a small battery-operated drill on another project and did split wood, so I took it to heart this time. The instructions call for two men, but I'm just one 5'1" female. If you make space and plan out your steps, you can do it. The screws and other parts were all in one bag, so the first thing I did was get an organizer tray and sort them all out. I was worried that I might have to go to the hardware store, but that wasn't necessary. My package did not involve any glue. I simply followed instructions. They might be a little confusing, but if you have all of your parts sorted correctly, you should be able to figure it out. Some of the pieces, like the drawer sides, were not labeled the way the directions described them, so just sort out the pieces. You should have 8 of each. I got worried before I realized I had mixed them up. The numbers on the pieces were not indicative of what they were. I think they were just time stamps and maybe departments or lots or something. So, I thought they'd given me the wrong thing. I sat back down and went through them and found they were all there. Patience is key. Take your time, and it should work out fine. There were challenges like bending over to put 70 tiny finishing nails in the back side of the cabinet and keeping the thin pieces from falling through in the process, so just take five and come back to it. I had trouble getting a couple of the screws to go through the drawer and the rails on the dresser, so I used a nail to make sure I had the holes lined up. I also used a flash light to see if I had the screw hole positioned over the metal rail hole. I used a regular size Phillip's head screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, the small hex tool included, and a hammer to put the pieces together. The instructions calls for an awl. Most hole were pre-drilled, but some of them were not. This is probably where they intended for you to use an awl. I just started the hole the same way I start holes on the wall. I tapped a nail at that point until it had a good enough depth where a screw wouldn't slip out of it. It is a challenge to put together simply because there are so many drawers, but it wasn't that hard, and I had extra screws left over. I'm pretty sure I used all that were called for, so these were just extras in the bag. Good luck! ... show more

  • Not Worth the Dice Roll on This One. Do Not Recommend.
Color: White
Sometimes products have lower ratings but we buy them, hoping to be one of the ā€œgood reviews.ā€ This dresser is not that. I bought this dresser about 4 years ago. After reading more reviews since purchasing it, I’m honestly amazed it lasted as long as it did/I put up with it as long as I did—especially as this was purchased to be a kids dresser (they were gentle with it, which helped). It definitely wasn’t the easiest piece to put together, and I’d rate myself pretty high with building assembly-required furniture. The drawers are flimsy, drawer tracks get messed up, and the hardware looks cheap. Starting around 2-3 years ago (~1-2 yrs after purchase), the top right drawer front randomly started detaching from the right side piece. There was no damage to it, it just decided one day it wasn’t going to stay connected anymore. I’ve tried countless times to reattach the drawer front. I’ve used glue (apparently not enough…). I’ve tried replacing the cam lock and bolt. Each time, the drawer stayed together for a few weeks, and then the front would detach again on the right side. Then, around a year ago, the same thing randomly started happening with the 3rd drawer down on the left side. The only reason I didn’t chuck it out the second story window at that point was because I couldn’t replace it yet & we still really needed the storage in the other 6 drawers… even if they were flimsy and also liable to come apart at any moment. Another fun thing has been that the door tracks easily lose the tiny ball bearings in them. You can pop them back in pretty easily after removing the drawer and disassembling the track, but 1) they’re tiny and very easily lost, and 2) you have to remove the drawer and disassemble the track to put them back in… so when you hear a little ping, like a tiny marble or bead dropping inside the drawer, and/or find tiny silver balls in the drawers or surrounding floor, that’s where those came from. Basically, as I said in my first paragraph, don’t waste your time or money on this hoping you’ll be one of the lucky ones who have zero issues with this dresser. I don’t recommend this product at all. I almost gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I miraculously got a year or two out of it before it started becoming a regular frustration, but that’s setting the bar extremely low. ... show more

  • Very happy!
Color: White
After reading the reviews I was a little hesitant about getting this dresser. But my husband is super handy and knkws his way around building things so we figured we would try it. And we are SO GLAD we did! We aren't sure why people have struggled so hard with assembly. He got it done in a little over 2 hours. The directions dont have words explaining what to do but the pictures were detailed and straightforward. We did use a drill for the screws on a low setting so it wouldnt split the particle board. The dresser itself is a nice size. Beautiful and modern looking and for a great price! We had been looking for a long time and this is the best deal we found used and new. The only downside is the drawers are a little shallow and should not be STUFFED full, but because there are 8 of them (double what we used to have) we should have plenty of room. ... show more

  • Decent piece, horrible instructions
Color: White
The dresser is nice. Unfortunately mine was damaged. There is a crack the width of the top board and a few other nics. I didn’t feel like repacking it to send it back. It’s two heavy packages. Of course it’s plywood and not top quality. But it’s fairly sturdy. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE instructions. Luckily, I’ve put together everything in my home so I'm pretty fluent in pic-structions, but my goodness!! It doesn’t get any worse than this. It took me several hours of squinting, rotating the pics, and so forth. But I got it done and my daughter loves it in her room. It’s large enough to fit everything for a child. The drawers are very smooth, which is important to me. Would not purchase again if I knew the instructions were that bad. ... show more
