  • Killer tires, for a good price!
Size: 90/90-21 (54R)/120/90-18 (65R)
Great tires, but terrible balance. It took like 3 big weights on the front tire to get it close. I ran out of weights for the back, but they're considerably better than the last set I had on there once I got them balanced. If you have bead locks, you'll obviously have a lot more to counter, so I can't blame it squarely on the tires. These do great on pavement and all the way up in the 80mpg range without a huge amount of fuss. They knobbies, so they'll buzz a bit. But it's not bad. I'll repeat it again though, you really, really want to balance these things out of you want to go over 45-55mph, or else you'll rattle your teeth out! These tires do excellent off-road even after q couple thousand miles. I haven't worn them out yet, so pretty darn good so far! ... show more

  • Difficult to mount yourself but good traction
Size: 90/90-21 (54R)/120/90-18 (65R)
I mounted these tires myself with spoons, the sidewalls are very thick so it was a little challenging. I have not had the opportunity to ride a lot of miles on them yet so I dont know how they hold up, but my initial impression is the traction is very good off road.

  • Nice Off Road Tires. Highly recommended.
Size: 90/90-21 (54R)/120/90-18 (65R)
Extremely well made Off Road Tires, with an unheard of mileage rating. ("4-5K mi.) The rear tire especially, has a very stiff carcass/sidewall. I have them mounted on a 250cc Enduro that mainly sees Trail use, w/very little pavement use, perfect for that as these tires are more oriented to Off Road use than road use. (However they are DOT rated.) I would highly recommend these and would buy them again. ... show more

  • After installing check air pressure regularly. They lose 10 psi the first week.
Size: 90/90-21 (54R)/130/90-17 (68R)
A year ago, I took a chance on the Tusk Dsport® Adventure tires, intrigued by their aggressive off-road design and somewhat hesitant about their performance on paved roads. Having previously owned a Yamaha 125 Enduro equipped with similar aggressive tires—which served me well—I hoped the Tusk tires would live up to those standards. Concerns about longevity lingered, especially given the tendency for modern components to wear out more quickly than in the past. With a price tag of $125 for the set, it felt like a worthwhile risk, particularly compared to the $400 investment in Shinko tires that might offer only a year or two of use. Fast forward to today, and I’m pleased to report that these tires have exceeded my expectations. After 4,000 miles, they still show impressive durability and performance. When I took my bike to the dealership for routine service, their technicians expressed skepticism about how well the Tusk tires would hold up, yet I was thrilled to hear their feedback confirming that these tires have defied those early doubts. The current condition of the tires suggests I could squeeze another 1,500 miles out of them easily. However, with the new year upon us, I’ve decided it’s a good opportunity to invest in a fresh set. Performance on highway speeds has also been surprisingly stable. I initially thought the tires might compromise stability at 65-70 mph, but they handled those speeds with confidence. While I tend to avoid pushing the bike to its limits for extended periods, there are times when a little extra speed is necessary for passing. In those scenarios, the Tusk tires proved reliable. Off-road performance is where these tires truly shine. Their aggressive tread pattern handles dirt roads and gravel with ease. I discovered that letting some air out before hitting rough terrain enhances grip significantly—a crucial tip for adventure riding. Carrying a portable air pump has been invaluable for adjusting tire pressure on the go. Overall, I highly recommend the Tusk Dsport® Adventure tires. Their durability and performance make them a fantastic value at $125 per set. Based on my experience, I believe a rider could expect to get around 6,000 miles from a set, which makes these tires a solid choice for both on-road and off-road adventures. ... show more

  • Great tires

  • Hard wearing DOT knobbie.
Size: 90/90-21 (54R)/130/90-17 (68R)
These tires have been working well in a variety of conditions on a DR650. They also seem to be wearing very little. They have an extremely stiff carcass, that makes mounting difficult and tire pressure pointless. With a couple hundred miles on them, they seem to ride fairly smooth and hold *enough* traction on the street. It took a lot of miles even for the little rubber nubs to come off, I expect them to wear well. I am sure these don't have the traction of a dedicated dirt tire on slick rock or sand, but they seem to do well enough for the way a dual-sport gets ridden. Sand and snow they are adequate or better, great on hard packed gravel roads, fine on asphalt or loose rock for their intended purpose, seem not so great in mud so far, but that could be expected. ... show more
