  • Quality
Style: Xbox One
The quality started off great but the more I’ve been using this headset, the lower the quality gets. I’ve had them for about 1.5 years now and I’ve noticed the change in time. Sound quality went from a 8/10 to a 6/10 in that time frame. The battery is still solid. I can play 15hrs or more on one battery charge of the headset. The ability to adjust how much of yourself you can hear in the headset is also a huge bonus that lower end headsets do not offer. It helps to know how loud you are talking because the noise cancellation in the headset works extremely will still to this day ... show more

  • My first gaming headset so all I know is Turtle Beach
Style: Xbox One
Always hated the way headsets looked so never bothered but here we are. For my first it was decent for quality & the battery lasts forever since it's wired. I never wanted wired but this is one of the better wired headsets you'll get & you don't really notice the lightweight wire too much. The sound is really good & for my big head it fit nicely after an adjustment period. The cord did occasionally cut out on me to be honest as if there was a short in the wire which is frustrating while gaming as we all know. I talked to tech support they said it was a hardware issue and I could send it in to return it. I ended up keeping it as a friend sold me his Stealth 700 (amazing) and this 300 headset serves as my backup when the 700 battery dies. It doesn't give me the sound popping in and out thing as much anymore when I do use it but the use has gone down substantially. Def buy if you need, but shop around, don't you dare spend $80 on a wired headset. ... show more

  • Don't listen to others
Style: Xbox One
Update-8/22/19. The set I bought got all chewed up by my girlfriend's cats. Destroyed the cable. I contacted Turtle Beach. I told them I knew 100% that it wasn't their fault but if they had replacement parts so I can fix them. They said they would do a free one-time replacement and they sent me a brand new pair within a week. I can't think Turtle Beach customer service enough. They were so nice and very helpful. 100% buying another pair of Turtle Beach headphones in the future from them. Don't listen to these other low star reviews. These things are very quality made and they feel amazing while you wear them. They're nice and soft very comfortable and they sound absolutely amazing. I have a pair of stealth 700 headphones and they sound just as good as those. The only reason I bought these was mainly for a backup when the stealth 700 headphones died. But they actually might be used a little more. I've tried some other wired headphones and they either sound like crap or they're really loose on your head. These things fit very well. I promise you'll love them ... show more

  • Lasted me 3 years with only 1 minor repair
Style: Xbox One
Great feel and sound quality. I like the ability to hear my own mic through the headset. The plastic piece that connects the headband snapped on me, fortunately I was able to superglue it and it holds well. I've had these for 3 years with very constant use working from home and gaming. The mic quality isn't as clear as other USB style headsets I have but it works fine. ... show more

  • Great Turtle beach headset!!
Style: PlayStation 4
The headphones are great! I bought them used, I exchanged 2 pairs because they both had the same mic issue where it crackles A LOT, people can hear it when chatting online or making phone calls, and I am pretty sure this one will... Soon. (I own the discontinued Stealth 400's and I am comparing it to these 300's because they are really close for comparison) The ear cups are "ok", your ears feel enclosed and might start to sweat, with the 400's they are thicker and your ears have more breathing space. The sound on the 300's are TOO bassy, or it could just be that I don't like too much bass. I use a program for Windows called Equalizer APO, with this you can adjust the bass, treble, and whatnot. With that program, I can fine-tune it to almost the exact sound from the 400's. The 300's cost me $18 used, original price was $64 and I am happy with them, and thanks to Amazon for getting me a good conditioned pair. ... show more

  • Great set for the price
Style: Xbox One
The mic monitoring is awesome. I don't feel like I'm yelling over the game audio to be heard. Sound is above average overall but the surround sound is not as good as other sets I've used with Dolby Atmos. Very comfortable and lightweight but still feels solid. The feel of the mic flipping up or down to mute or unmute is satisfying for some reason. ... show more

  • Definitely worth the money - better than the price tag says.
Style: Xbox One
I had been using a cheap $15-20 Xbox One headset and wanted to upgrade since my TV has just okay sound and we live on a busy street. I'm completely shocked at how high quality this headset and sound is. First, the headset is extremely comfortable - even if I'm wearing glasses. Second, the surround sound is unbelievable. Not only am I hearing completely new sounds on games I've played for a long time, but the direction of the sound is superb for online gaming. You can hear footsteps from of anyone approaching before they are even close to you. In fact, the sound is so good that it made some games so much more intense that I nearly wasn't ready for it. In addition, I've used it for watching a few TV shows when I didn't want to wake up my roommate later at night, and the headset worked great for that as well. You'll see headsets going for much more than this. But for just under $50, this really does the trick for the average gamer. Well worth your money. ... show more

  • Good headset for the money
Style: Xbox One
Overall, great headset. Good sound, good mic, not any defects thus far. I like how it has its own built-in rechargeable battery, so it does not drain the controllers batteries. Life of the battery is really nice imo. The only complaint, the earmuffs rotate, to fit your head better, but they are "loose" and rotate very easy. If you look down, even slightly, they roll of your head and onto your lap. There is no locking mechanism, or resistance to stop this "rolling" problem. Again, for the money, it's worth it. I was looking to by another set of the XO One headsets, but they are more now, than they were 3 or 4 years ago, when I bought them. These have nice features with the flip-up mic mute. The only real positive when compared to the XO One. ... show more
