I did not receive the Falcon series knife as was ordered. Amazon replaced with the proper one next day. I purchased it as a part of a gift of 3 knives to add to the series that I had gifted to a family member last year. I also own the Falcon series, which are very highly rated by professional chefs. All of the ones that I have are great knives, and hold their edges very well. I'm spoiled by them! I do have a 3 stage electric sharpener, as well as necessary whet stones. I can't stand using a dull knife, so I'm on top of them when needed. My most used Falcon knives need a touch up maybe 2 or at the most 3 times each year. They are hand washed, and stored in a self fitting knife rack. I'm an avid home cook that diversifies in different ethnicities, including sushi and sashimi.

This 8" chef knife came in a pretty nice box. The knife itself is pretty nice looking with a nicely finished blade and a black Japanese style wooden handle with a dark red wrapping where the handle meets the blade. The handle on the knife I received has a fairly strong smell of paint or varnish. The handle is Japanese style but the blade is wider and the cutting edge has a more pronounced curve than a typical Japanese knife. The knife came very sharp. It will cleanly slice through a sheet of newspaper. I don't know how well the edge will hold up or how durable the handle will be, but the price was very low and the quality seems pretty high.

I bought this knife 7 months ago. Loved it! Then the blade started to loosen and turn. I contacted the company and they replaced it right away!!! Several family members have these knives and we all love them!!!

Just got the knifes and it was a birthday gift for my wife. She loves them. The only issue was no paperwork. Had to figure out all the warranty info and care instructions by going to TUOs website. Other than the the knifes are very sharp. No rust or blemishes on the blades. The wood grain on the knifes and the block is beautiful. The block is very sturdy. Will add to this if any long term issues. So far they are perfect.

Best Asian Style Kitchen knife you can get at this price, i used to have a budget Japan-made knife that was less than 20 dollars, it was pretty decent but not as good as this one. highly recommend.

edit: after a lot of back and forth the company itself is finally sending a new knife! But keep at it!!!! DO NOT EVEN try to talk to makers of this company or to try and fix a broken knife or for warranty issues!!! THEY DO NOT CARE unless you purchase from them directly!!!!The knives are great! But when you get them brand new and they are broken in the box and the box has no damage!! Every knife was in it own little sleeve and very well wrapped but the little end piece was just hanging out in the box, so whoever packed this box knew it was broken!! And if you call Tuo’s forget it!!! They do not care, and one knife dose not even fit all the way in the block, you tell them and they say you must have it in the wrong place!!! It is one of the big ones!!! It can only go one place!!!! Knives themselves cutting wise are Great!! Company horrible, but guess what If you bought them here!! The company will not help you
