These LED strip lights are great, I was just hoping for something a bit brighter. We are looking for something to line some of the fixtures in our shop to really draw the customers' eyes to some of the items we have on special. Unfortunately these just are really what we are looking for. They are perfect, however, for use around the house, like illuminating under the kitchen cabinets. The media could not be loaded. This is a nice strip and has a good CRI I still haven't installed it yet,but I plan to put it inside my cabinets but eveytime I open the bag it smells awful, like it's off gassing some kind of VOC's. I think it's the glue from the tape it gives me a headache and makes me feel sick. I will need to air this thing out in the summer before I bring it inside. if you are sensitive to smells like I am I would suggest opening it outside and airing it out first ... show more

The description of 'Super Bright' is very accurate. I chose this item based on my need for accent lighting in my bedroom. While I admit that I didn't thoroughly read the specs, I (foolishly) assumed that some type of power source or controller would be included. No such luck. This comes as a reel of LED lights (strip) with a barrel connector - typical of DC electronics like toys and other small gadget items. I happened to have also received another set of LED lights that I opted to test, and that set did include the AC/DC adapter to go from home AC current to 5V DC needed for the LED lights. This allowed me to easily test this strip as well. Wow, they are almost blindingly bright! The other set I received was the more typical strip of LEDs where you can see each LED separately. While that set is bright, this one easily eclipses it in brightness. These might actually be too bright for my intended use, but that isn't a complaint. I have other ideas for these, including better illumination of my desk and workbench, and perhaps as under-the-counter lighting for the kitchen. I'm going to cut this short for the moment, to give me a chance to install this set and see how it performs in actual usage scenarios. For the moment, though, I can verify that these are exactly as described - namely, very bright and visible as a strip of lighting rather than the standard separate lights along a strip of tape. This looks similar to the luminous tape made popular by the electric light dance crews on AGT and other such shows, only these are much brighter. ... show more

I'm using this LED strip to light up an enclosure for my laser engraver and for that purpose they're perfect. I'd say I'm using about 12ft of the strip on a 12v 3A power supply and brightness level is great with no voltage dropoff or dimming at the end. Usually I don't rely on the adhesive with LED strips but so far this has been working out quite well. A little bit of sagging where the plug is due to weight but otherwise it's been holding for weeks. Color temperature is also great, perfect for my working area. COB style LEDs also highly preferred since they don't have the weird shadowy effects of standard mutli LED strips. ... show more

Although I have not used these for the intended project yet, I have powered them up and they work very well. Extremely bright and very well made. I like that they can be cut every inch. Many comparable strips can only be cut every 2 inches. I'll provide an update once these are installed and in use for a period of time. ... show more
