Tumi is outrageously practical + excellent quality. It’s hard sometimes to handle different products under only slight diverse descriptions. This is one of the Tumi Alpha 3 series: like described the MEDIUM sling bag. This one has HANDLES. Best are YouTube videos, so I do not wish to add another video talking about the same. Just in case I’ll add picture of the tag. The diverse way of ergnomic security of the BUCKLES, requires attention: I wasn’t quickly able to open those clasps to add or take off either one of the two straps which come with this awesome bag / backpack. Here is how: 1. Pull the opening apart. (picture big circle) 2. Do do such, one must ALIGN (picture small circle) the buckle (picture big arrow) to the feature attached to the strap (picture small arrow). I wish this is helpful. Note: don’t turn! ... show more

I've purchased several shoulder tote or messenger type bags from Tumi. This new version, Alpha 3, meets all my needs. Sized to accommodate a MacBook (12") or MacBook Air, it will also accommodate upright files and other misc electronics for a trip to the office or the plane. The main compartment is quite large and will expand (nice). Though there is not a specific padded spot for a laptop. Construction is typical high quality as one should expect form Tumi. Personally I purchased this one for travel. Tumi's addition of the "add a bag sleeve" allows me to place this bag over the suitcase retractable handle. It also comes with both a removable over the shoulder strap as well as a cross body strap. I find the cross body strap works great as one can adjust it to fit at the lower back so it rides nicely as you walk. ... show more

After purchase take it to nearest Tumi store to personalize with initials. I use for airline travel to carry camera with 2 lenses, iPad or MacBook, headphones, kindle and misc personal items. Very well made with quality materials will last for many trips. Comes with sling strap built in that hides away if you don't use it. I use the shoulder strap that is also included. ... show more

For the price, one would expect a high-quality product and this one delivers. Construction is top-notch with very sturdy zippers. My only "complaint" would be that it is remarkably heavy...but that probably goes along with the quality.

This is my third Tumi “man purse”, or “murse” as my son calls it. They usually lasts 5 years - I wear it everyday and need to replace them even though they are still usable. Major difference of this version is the handle. Got two instead of just one atop the unit. Pretty well everything else is the same.
