  • Affordable efficient tumbler
Style: 1x4 lb. Tumbler
I dove into tumbling with National Geographic. I soon realized it was insufficient for my needs. My next brand was tumble-bee. I haven't had many issues at all; however when i did experience an overheating issue Jennifer & tumble-bee staff were quick to take care of my concerns efficiently and with professionalism. I am a happy customer and looking forward to their future developments! I have since dabbled with a few other tumblers. I do find tumble-bee to br a bit noisier than some others ive seen but the reliability and service makes this brand stand out. I will Bee a happy tumbling returning customer ... show more

  • Good starter tumbler... longevity questionable
Style: 2x2 lb. Tumbler
I ordered two of the double barrel Tumble Bees. They do work great and produce good quality results (check the photo). However, my first one burned out the motor after 3-4 months of constant use. I followed the manual and set it up as indicated and oiled it frequently (once a week at least). My second one is still running after about 3 months. For the price I still think this is a good tumbler to start rock tumbling, but expect to upgrade down the road if you stick with it. ... show more

  • Spend the extra money and get something that works
Style: 1x4 lb. Tumbler
I bought this as my first tumbler. Its not expensive so I thought why not. I ran it for 2 weeks before the first motor just quit. I wrote the company and they sent a new motor our right away. I believe it has a year warranty. three weeks later the drive belt broke. I just went and ordered the five dollar part. Not a big deal. Its a small simple machine so replacing parts its pretty easy. Three weeks later the motor quit. I wrote them and they sent me another one. Great I guess. Started it again. Three weeks later the motor quit and the whole side of the machine melted. I'm done. I threw it away and ordered a different brand. Its cheap, it breaks, Its definitely low quality. You get what you pay for. Don't expect to make it through all the polishing cycles once with this unit. Do yourself a lot of frustration and spend some more and get a good polishing unit. ... show more

  • Great Fun!
Style: 2x2 lb. Tumbler
I just finished my first batches of tumble polished stones and I am delighted. Easy to set up and use. No problem with the motors or the bearings. It has not leaked. I feel confident this will last for years. You're going to want to put it in a place where it can do its thing without bothering you because tumbling rocks is a noisy process. I put the tumbler in shed, away from the house. ... show more

  • I am glad I did my research and I’m very happy.
Style: 1x4 lb. Tumbler
I did my research and determined this to be the best polisher for what I’m doing. I’m using it to edge knives. Glad I did my research. This is a great product and I’m very happy with it.

  • Good but not the best
Style: 2x2 lb. Tumbler
Great tumbler for one year. I really liked it but it died today. One year and one month of almost daily use. Yes I cleaned it regularly and oiled it.

  • Make sure to follow the instructions!
Style: 1x4 lb. Tumbler
First of all, I did a lot of research before buying what I thought would be the best tumbler for my money, reading all the nightmare scenarios in the reviews, and all the praise going to the very expensive and never in stock brand. Two full batches through the TB-14 and I'm still happy with my purchase. You really need to pay attention to the instructions though. Out of the box, it's printed at least twice that you need to adjust the belt that drives the rod from the motor. This is an absolute must. It's just a couple of screws to take off the housing, and making sure the belt it on, and hand tightening the motor in place with some adjustment screws. My belt came completely off of the gear, but it's adjusted perfectly and it's run for two months practically 24/7 and not snapped. That's also following the directions about filling the barrel roughly 2/3 full and water just over the rocks. It's also essential to oil the four bearings where the rods spin. It came with a generous portion of oil to do it with. Do it before you start, and before each weekly cycle. It's a good idea to stop the machine midway through the week to make sure both rods are still freely spinning. I do a visual check about once a day just to make sure the barrel is tumbling at the expected speed. ... show more
