I've got a few of these and just love getting crafty whenever I have a bit of free time. If you've got young kids, you're going to want to put this together in a place high enough that they can't snatch things when you're not looking, I imagine. A beautiful little kit, with almost everything you need (except maybe special little glue, scissors etc),, to make the perfect little work of art. Very therapeutic and calming to ignore the outside world for a while and just focus on making something nice. I've seen some reviews on similar products where people say the instructions weren't very clear etc. I found the instructions for this to be crystal clear, and had no trouble figuring out exactly what belonged where. Just takes a bit of patience and imagination, and an appreciation for crafty things. And you can go as quickly as you like or take your sweet time; that's the real beauty of art stuff, doesn't need to be rushed to be appreciated. Then I stick them in between books on my bookshelves so I can admire them. People often notice them here and there around my home, so it's also a great conversation piece, and would also be nice on a little wall shelf or on a coffee table. My only piece of advice would be that if you're a newbie, start with just one. A small one. They are quite intricate, so you're going to want to take your time and enjoy it. Love love love these, and highly recommend!

At first I hated it seeing how much paper cutouts/assembly was needed. But once I started putting things together, I loved it. All those 6 hours of hard work paid off. I highly advise using hot glue, Elmer's glue, and the glue recommended with this product. I had to YouTube how to assemble the electric box even with the instructions. But it's pretty basic: put the blue wires with the blue wires and the white with the white. Use tiny pliers to make sure the wires wrap around each other, then tape. All in all, I am very satisfied with this project considering the price and time it took!

I have completed a few of these mini builds and loved them. This one on other hand.. not my favorite. I got the Sweet Talk set. It looked super cute. A lot of the paper pieces are TINY! Some have to be glued on top of like cardboard then cut out. You definitely need some sharp teeny tiny scissors. I had 2 wood pieces that were not the correct size that had to be cut and sanded. The wood pieces for the stand, were not the same size so it sits funny. It does say in the instructions “small deviation among different batch of wood material is inevitable pls understand.” That’s the exact wording. But still.. the pieces should at least match up. The instructions were not terrible. I’ve seen worse. Some of the items I just found impossible to make per their instructions. The teeny tiny little cupcake holders? Super hard to cut out and fold correctly. Also, the donut things with the twisted twine or whatever it is. Didn’t work. I made my own out of clay. I originally thought “oh this will be easy. It looks more like a beginner’s set.” I don’t think so. Quality? It’s not terrible. Not the greatest though. Value for money? Not bad if you want a cheaper kit to do. My advice? To make this set, get some super small scissors, tweezers and a magnifying glass if you can’t see well.

I really liked this kit. It's a smaller scale than I'm used to, but surprisingly more detailed. I modified to sort of look like the BBC Sherlock sitting room. The only con is that it didn't come with any glues so I had to use glue from another kit. There were also some instructions that were poorly translated and confusing, but with some help from my husband we figured it out.

I am not a novice and I found this kit to be difficult. Wood pieces are completely cheap and some of the desk table legs snapped as I tried to get them out. I don't mind cutting pieces and gluing, but some of the paper pieces in this kit are so tiny, I don't know how anyone can do this. I wear a size 5 ring - I have my ring in one of the photos for size reference. A US size 5 is approximately 0.61-62 inches or 15.6mm. I loved the idea of this and some of the pieces are cute, but this was a headache and not fun, and I wasted my time.
