We take short (1/2 mile or so) walks in the woods when ever the snow is on the ground. Since they are short walks we have in the past bought general use aluminum snowshoes because they are cheap. When it was time to replace a pair I got the same kind, however my wife had heard about Tubbs. We ordered a pair of Tubbs for her, and when both our pairs came in the mail, I saw the quality of the Tubbs and tossed the aluminum pair aside and quickly ordered a pair of Tubbs for myself. The difference in quality is amazing. I highly recommend. (Note they only come in a couple sizes you may want to go to their website to research which one you want) ... show more
