I have bought many snowshoes, but they all sucked, I couldn't use them in heavy snow, and they broke down after one use. With so many different snowshoe options across Amazon I wasn’t sure which one to choose. I ended up with GORPORE and have been very satisfied. I've already used it once and it's really easy to walk in the snow. Wearing it, I don't have to worry about falling, the two ice claws hold the ground firmly as described so I don't worry about safety at all. It comes in many sizes and my wife and kids love snow sports too. I'll buy it again and give it to them as a Christmas present, they'll be so happy!

I learned on a 10' long board which is great if you have a slow, gentle break but trying to teach my kids in shorebreak with a massive board was an exercise in frustration (endless nosedives, tough to paddle/swing the board around). This board strikes a very good balance--wide/buoyant enough to be pretty stable for the kids but not so big/heavy to be unwieldy in the surf. Also sturdy enough for me to catch a few waves even though I'm pushing the weight limit a bit. Will update this RE: durabililty once we've had it a while but overall the workmanship seems quite good, the board was shrink wrapped and double boxed which was nice to see.

As I said these have been great and I have been going everywhere. These have been used quite a bit since I got them and right now they are still working just fine. Some of the metal spikes on bottom have been bent but I am hiking in some very rocky areas. The poles seem to be kind of cheaper but are also still holding their ground.

Well, this year is the Icemageddon and I found these after looking for a budget pair of snowshoes. They're amazingly light which is important because insulated boots are heavy enough by themselves. The modern tube design has a lot of benefits over traditionals with the one drawback of less flotation. However, they'd still work with a light pack. They're much more maneuverable which is important in the woods, and because of the design, it lends itself to be more easily repaired. As long as you have any plastic material or even thick fabric and rivets, it can be repaired endlessly. If the tubing is ever bent or damaged (unlikely), it can be fixed with any splint duct taped or hose clamped.

This snowshoe was given to me as a birthday present, and it is really well crafted. A pair of snowshoes, trekking poles, and a carrying bag are included with the snowshoe package. The flex axle system and heel lift are excellent features that provide additional support during hiking. I bought from this seller because of the steel crampons. My previous pair of snowshoes' crampons didn't last long. When walking on a firm surface, the steel crampons performed much better. Overall, it is a well-made pair of winter hiking shoes.
