***Updated after several months of wearing the socks*** I initially loved these socks. Kinda compression-like. Length was long enough to be at the top of my shin. But after wearing them off-and-on for between three to six months, the heel has completely worn through. I would estimate that it took between 15-20 wash-and-wear cycles to wear through the heels. And I do not wear them doing anything that would subject them to the friction and abuse of skiing. So... Great initially. Garbage after six months. Clothing quality is just getting crappier every year. (original rating text) They are just thick enough to be warm without being super bulky. I would probably not use these socks for skiing/snowboarding, because they don't seem like they would be warm enough. I do like the design of the socks, as the lines and circles act as a guide to put them on for best fit.

I started wearing compression socks last year and wanted something for an upcoming trip to northern Wisconsin to do some showshoeing and dogsledding. I just tried out these socks today,taking a long walk in the snow in prep foir my trip. I wore the socks over an anklebrace and walked 4 miles. I was quite pleased with the warmyth and comfort.

Those make a great everyday sock for me. Because of toe and foot cramps I don’t usually wear shoes around the house and needed warm socks with support. These have been great for my needs and really reduced my toe and foot cramping episodes. They are more expensive than I’m used to, but for the relief and comfort, seem good value for the money.
