We got these for my husband when he goes on walks with our dog because the mosquitos were bothering him a lot. They are convenient to slip into a pocket and go, but the smell is wild. When the package arrived from Amazon, the smell was so strong it went immediately onto the back patio. Even, then the smell was coming in and bothering my nose. We put the product in a tied up grocery bag and put it in the shed, but the smell came through the walls where the shed attaches to the apartment wall. I live in the forest and deal with mice more often than I'd like. I had a mouse somewhere behind my kitchen cabinets and could hear it scratching to try to get out. I was trying to set a trap, but it was taking me a long time. Then I remembered I had ordered these repellents to put in my engine this winter. So, I opened one up, set it on the floor by the kitchen cabinet and there was silence! I never heard another sound. I went ahead and set 6 traps so hopefully I'd catch it. But the traps have been down for 4 days now, and they haven't been touched. I think, after smelling this repellent, that the mouse got out of here as fast as it could! I am extremely pleased with this product and am getting ready to order a couple more boxes of them. There's nothing to it but taking off the wrapping and setting it down. I am going to put one in each of the bedrooms as well. I am extremely happy with this product. It really works!

So, I bought this product after getting eaten alive by vampire mosquitoes for 3 days in a row. I was skeptical but figured I’d give it a shot. The good news? It worked. It worked immediately. It worked well. I just haven’t been bitten since I started keeping a pouch next to me on the patio. The bad news is that the packaging really sucks and that’s important. When the package arrived it was oily to touch on the outside. The outer bag was sealed but I could smell the oils before I even opened the outer box. Once I opened the outer bag the zip lock (to keep these pouches fresh) doesn’t close well and pulls away from the bag itself. The inner bag is even worse. It’s zip lock feature is so flimsy it might as well not exist. So the reason I’m whining is that I had to use my own bags or these never would have remained fresh. Is that a terrible problem? No. Would I try a different brand of the same product next time? Yes. Overall, the important thing is that it works. It has a strong scent but it’s a pleasant one that blends in outdoors. It might be more overpowering indoors. If they just get reliable packaging to keep them fresh I’d be a repeat customer.

We recently got so many mosquitos into our bedroom every night. Got these to put in the window sill. The scent is very strong but fresh so I don’t mind. Haven’t seen mosquitos since. But, before opening the bag with the little bags in it, the oils leaked out through two (or 3) layers of sealed plastic.

If you were to clasp your index finger and thumb together, that is the actual size of the rodent repellents. I thought they were tennis ball sized based on the picture. However, the repellent scent packs a punch and will linger for a few days which I don't mind as the reason why I purchased it is to deter the rodents that have found their way into the basement. I placed on one each corner and it has also deter bugs as well as I have seen no spiders since I placed them in the basement. Now that I think about it, you can probably insert these in crevasses where rodents and bugs tend to find themselves in the house.

These worked for me to keep the squirrels out of my pots on my deck wall. However they are unsightly and they stink. But at the beginning of the season, before you plant your pots up, if you just deal with it, they stay away so I’m just hoping they’ve learned to stay away and won’t come back. If they do, I’ll stick more of them in among the flowers but then you have to smell it for quite some time. They’re not perfect but are good. I say just try a package for yourself. They lasted a long time getting rained on too.
