Color: With Timing Chain & M295 Oil Pump
We are always doing budget LS swaps into vehicles in our shop, so I ordered this because it is an aftermarket camshaft kit for way less than the price of one from a name brand shop. First of all, this is NOT a BTR camshaft. The specs are all the same as the BTR Truck Norris camshaft, but it is not the same. I think the brand name BTSCAR is just enough to try and confuse people into thinking it is a Brian Tooley kit. That's why the 4 stars, it is not a real Truck Norris cam, just the same specs. That being said, this is a great kit. The parts all look to be quality, the fit and finish of the parts looks good, and the camshaft machining looks solid. The springs resemble some real PAC-1218 springs we have here. Everything looks really solid. I am extremely wary about installing these lifters knowing they are Chinese knockoffs (they are, the boxes have Chinese writing on them) but for a junkyard budget build we are probably going to try them. Overall, for the price, definitely worth a shot. I wouldn't throw this into a car that is a higher end build, but for our budget builds on our @TheMidnightMechanic YouTube channel it is definitely worth it.

Color: With Head Gasket & Lifters
I just got my Truck Norris kit delivered today so I haven't installed it yet but looking at and unpacking everything felt like Christmas! Everything was superbly packed and protected. Good job. Now I will confess that I also ordered a similar kit that also arrived today. That kit was $60 less than this approximately four hundred dollar kit. After opening the other kit, the difference was really apparent. Sure the other kit had the same parts but the same quality just wasn't there. That kit is being returned. I tried to take pictures of everything so you can see for yourself. Did I mention that two pair of gloves are included? You get a pair of nitrile gloves and a pair of palm coated work gloves as well. That's a very much appreciated touch. I am very pleased with this Truck Norris kit. I just wish they sold a lower end kit as well.
