  • This is perfect for letting me fall asleep when I am not able to lay curled up on my side.
Color: Coral
This is perfect for m3. From what I understand reading reviews, including from The Wirecutter, this either works very well for people or they hate it. For me, I love it. It holds my head in the right place to fall asleep sitting up, something I usually can’t enjoy. I use it at home and when I was recently in the hospital. Pros: holds my neck and head at the perfect angle with the right amount of support to fall asleep. Cons: it will be too warm in hot weather or a stiffy too warm environment, the fleece is cozy now but in the summer it won’t work. I wish there was also a non-fleece version ... show more

  • Game-Changing for Long Flights — Especially If You Can Never Get Comfortable Sleeping Upright
Color: Black
I’ve tried nearly every travel pillow on the market, and the **Trtl Pillow** is the first one that actually *works* the way it claims. The moment I wrapped it around my neck, I understood the hype. It’s not a fluffy “pillow” — it’s a structured, ergonomic support system that keeps your head from bobbing around while still feeling soft and cushioned. **What I Loved:** **✔️ Incredible neck support (and it actually works)** The internal support frame felt strange at first, but once I tucked it under my jaw, it kept my head perfectly stable. No more jerking awake mid-flight, and zero neck stiffness when I landed. **✔️ Soft, cozy, scarf-like design** It’s warm and comfortable without making you sweaty. The fleece material feels great even on long flights. **✔️ Lightweight & super packable** It hardly takes up any space. I clip it to my backpack and forget it’s there. Much easier than lugging around a bulky U-shaped pillow. **✔️ Machine washable** This is huge. After a long international flight, being able to toss the cover in the wash gives me peace of mind. **✔️ Great for planes, cars, and trains** I even used it sitting upright in a car and on a high-speed train — still supportive and comfortable. **Things to Know:** • It can feel snug at first. It’s more of a structured wrap than a pillow, so it takes a few minutes to get used to the fit. • Best for side-leaning sleepers. If you’re someone who sleeps perfectly upright, you may need to adjust the position a bit to find your sweet spot. **Bottom Line:** The Trtl Pillow is easily the best travel pillow I’ve owned. If you struggle to sleep on planes or always wake up with a sore neck, this is absolutely worth it. Lightweight, supportive, and genuinely comfortable — it’s staying in my carry-on permanently. ... show more

  • Love it
Color: Grey
I’ve used all kinds of travel pillows and this is my favorite for packing and using. It’s minimal, soft and comfortable, and works. I can even raise the fabric over my mouth to eliminate or minimize snoring. It’s only stiff on one side so if you shift the direction you want to lean your head, you must shift the pillow as well. That’s of zero significance to me as I typically lean to one specific side. It comes with a storage bag and has a slim profile for packing. The velcro closure on the bag is a bit annoying as it’s loud to open and the velcro can snag your clothes if you’re not careful. I’d much prefer a zipper closure, but am happy it comes with a bag. I recommend visiting the trtl website and looking at their prices before ordering. I found them much cheaper (but slower to deliver when shipped from them). ... show more

  • Good concept but not goor for everyone
Color: Grey
I recently tried this travel pillow during a long flight after seeing several recommendations for it. After using it on three flights, each over four hours long, my experience has been mixed. The design is compact and lightweight, making it easy to pack in a carry-on without taking up much space. I liked the soft fleece material—it felt cozy. Once I figured out the right positioning, it gave decent neck support and kept my head upright. That said, it took me a few tries to position it correctly. At first, it felt awkward, and if it wasn’t wrapped tightly enough, the support tended to slip out of place. Over time, I also noticed the pillow pressing uncomfortably against my jaw and chin. What really stood out for me, though, was how hot it made me feel, even on a cold airplane. While I think the design could work well for some people depending on their anatomy, the heat and overall discomfort during long use made it less ideal for me. ... show more

  • A Struggle Between Comfort and Circulation
Color: Black
I wanted to love the Trtl Travel Pillow. really, I did. The promise of a scientifically engineered, ultra-supportive neck brace (sorry, “pillow”) that would finally allow me to sleep on a plane without waking up feeling like I lost a fight with the overhead bin was too good to pass up. Unfortunately, after several flights of dedicated testing, I can confidently say this: if you enjoy the sensation of being in a very mild, travel-sized guillotine, this is the product for you. The “Support” Dilemma The concept is clever. You wrap it around your neck, lean into the hidden support, and drift off into blissful, ergonomic slumber. The reality? The only way this thing provides any meaningful support is if you cinch it so tightly that you start questioning your blood flow situation. At optimal “support” level, I found myself teetering between “mildly uncomfortable” and “Is this what a giraffe feels like in a turtleneck?” If you loosen it even slightly, it becomes a $60 piece of fabric wrapped around your neck for no reason at all. And if you tighten it enough to actually hold your head up, congratulations! You now have a built-in pulse-checking device because your body will let you know very quickly when your carotid artery has had enough. In-Flight Performance My hope was to finally achieve that elusive, graceful plane nap. Instead, I spent most of my flight adjusting, readjusting, and questioning my life choices as my seat neighbor side-eyed my increasingly desperate attempts to make it work. The “lean and sleep” motion they advertise? More like “lean, start losing feeling in your jaw, panic, readjust, repeat.” The Verdict For those with an iron will, a tolerance for slight oxygen deprivation, and perhaps a slimmer neck than mine, this might work. For the rest of us? Save your money and go back to the classic awkward head-tilt-against-the-window method or invest in a real neck pillow. Or better yet, just accept that air travel is inherently uncomfortable and move on. Final Rating: 2/5 Stars – Points for innovation, deducted for it being a personal tourniquet for the worst possible location ... show more

  • The best of all, no need more
Color: Black
I was surprised by how comfortable it is to sleep on—super lightweight, small, and easy to transport. The material is simple, and the fabric is very soft.

  • A balanced between self-strangulation and support firmness without overheating
Color: Black
I truly don’t understand the glowing reviews of this thing. I’ve rarely started a return faster than I did for this meme-worthy $60 piece of cheap plastic wrapped in a hot and itchy cheap fleece scarf. To be fair, pretty much all travel pillows you search for are meme-worthy. But this one takes the cake because of how impractical it is. Listen, I don’t have a particularly short neck like an actual turtle. Nor is my neck long like a giraffe. But to get the level of support this claims to offer in spades, I had to wrap the scarf around my neck so tightly that indeed, it may have actually rendered me unconscious from asphyxiation. Not exactly the kind of rest I’m looking for on my upcoming long flight to Japan, but I guess it somewhat aligns with their marketing. After much fidgeting and readjusting, I found a level of tightness that felt like a toddler was strangling me rather than a boa constrictor, so I could breathe (uncomfortably), and the support was almost tolerable, but alas the cheap plastic half-neck-brace thing was still too flexible to prevent the kind of neck tilt that allow me to sleep upright without neck pain. Again, assuming I didn’t pass out from overheating or losing circulation first. Sorry trtl, you’re not the one. Two stars for the idea. E for effort! ... show more

  • Perfect Neck Pillow to Compliment the Starkio Footrest! Perfect Neck Pillow to Compliment the Starkio Footrest!
Color: Grey
I purchased this Trtl Neck Pillow to go with the Starkio footrest I purchased several months ago for my boss (who travels at least 3 days a week on flights that are a minimum of 2 hrs long) after a client recommended that he shoudl invest in a footrest hammock. The Starkio footrest has thick cushioning and is easy to install - it's greatly improved the comfort of his flights (especially when he flies Economy - he's not a large man by any means but the leg space is so cramped!). My boss has a bad back, so the long flights take a toll on him (plus he's on his feet for 5-8 hours once he lands and sometimes drives 1-2 hrs after landing if it's an overnight trip). The Starkio footrest has significantly improved how he feels and is able to move after his trips, but lately his schedule has forced him to take longer flights, often at night, which means he ends up sleeping on the flight...which means his neck gets sore. I found this Trtl Neck Pillow and suggested he give it a try since it is a decent price and we already got an excellent deal on the Starkio footrest. He has been on 3 trips where he's used the Neck Pillow in addition to the Footrest Hammock and we all have noticed a significant improvement to his mobility when he lands and his mood in general :) I asked him how the pillow is working and he said he really likes it and is glad we found two high quality items for good deals. He says it supports his head without feeling like he's in a neck brace and he's had no issues sleeping on the flights. I noticed several reviewers commented that it was too warm so I asked him specifically about that and he (a man who insists the office be at 68 degrees) had no issues with being overheated in it. My boss has already requested I purchase more for his assistants. The takeaway of this is: If you fly frequently or are about to embark on a long journey, buy the Trtl Neck Pillow and Starkio Footrest! They are high quality items at very affordable prices; simple to use; easy to pack (even if you are just taking a day trip, like my boss often does); have excellent cushioning and stability where you need it (for neck, feet, legs, and back); are easy to clean; and although I can only vouch that the Starkio Footrest has held up over months of regular use, the Trtl Neck Pillow seems like it will hold up over time too. ... show more
