It arrived in separate pieces but the assembly was super simple. Once assembled it was relatively sturdy and the materials felt good. I do recommend using sand bags just incase- as with any other c-stand.

I have a couple brands of c-stands so I was wanted to see how this stacked up. The fit and finish of this stand is not quite as nice as on my others and it actually sold for a higher price than my other stands. It doesn't seem to have the durability my other stands have. For instance, the riser is lighter weight than my other two. It's still plenty heavy but it makes me wonder if I'll have to add heavier sandbags to get the same stability out of it. The arm is mislabeled as a boom arm when it's actually a grip arm. A lot of c-stands are listing the grip arm as a boom and that's really unfortunate because they aren't really made to hold the weight of a true boom arm. The listing even shows the grip arm being used as a boom. If using the grip arm as a boom, I recommend only attaching lighter weight lights and modifiers and not extending it too far. The grip arm doesn't have an easy way to add a weight to the end to counter balance it, which a true boom arm does. The turtle base works fine but I'll see how it holds up in the long run. I gave this c-stand 4 stars but, if I could, I would have given it 3 1/2 stars. It's not a bad c-stand but there are other options that may be a better choice.

The media could not be loaded. If I need to take overhead shots, this C stand is a lot better tool than using a tripod or other stands. The pole is stronger and the turtle C base is sturdier. I use A7C with a cage. Along with a speedlight and other accessories, the weight compounds. With a proper counterbalance such as using a sandbags, I can accomplish my task using this C stand. I put a couple of water bottles inside my sandbags as a counterweight. One sandbag hanging on one side of the pole and another sandbag on the base. Folding the turtle C base is actually easy. My video shows how to do it. There is no need to pull the legs. Just push the legs in the direction of one another, the legs will fold in. Every part of this C stand is metal. There is no plastic, not even hard plastic. So, it's a sign of a good quality. It's not light as other stands or tripod but the upside is this C stand supports heavier items. I like the cushion of the vertical pole. It's very thoughtful to have a spring inside this vertical pole for durability during transportation. I also like the grip heads. They are, once again, made out of metal. It's solid metal. There is no hollow metal. The grip is very strong.

I appreciate a light weight stand but that is not what this is advertised as. It is sturdy but you can feel the quality when you lift it compared to a Matthews C-stand. The knuckle doesn't feel as tight either. Overall it is a functional C-stand but it is not at the same level as the name brand.

I really like the size! The feet don't take up as much space as my old stands. So it fits better in my car. It is also a bit lighter than my other stands. Yay! The knuckles are just as solid and grip really well. The big "upgrade" is the black foam handle added to the stand. Makes it much easier to move than a traditional C stand. The accessory spring clamps that come with it are of pretty much no use/value. I really do like this C Stand! I'm considering maybe getting a few more for off site jobs.

It's tall enough to keep everything out of your shot without worrying about the flash being too close to your subject. It's really great with your overhead lighting especially if your unable to mount things to your ceiling.. It's heavy duty and strong enough where you could put one counterweight on the beam. I prefer extra security by adding sandbags or extra weights to the legs so there won't be any "OOPs" Overall I'm happy with it and it's a nice additional to my equipment.
