High quality upgrade for your ecoboost!

I purchased this as an upgrade for the OEM plastic housing on our 2019 Ford Expedition. I've used TRQ products quite a bit and this one did not disappoint! Very good quality and fit was perfect! NO LEAKS! All I did to modify was remove the supplied aftermarket thermostat and installed the Motorcraft RT-1258 180°F thermostat and seal. Direct replacement

Thermostat assembly for a Land Rover/Range Rover 4.4 V8. Works as it should. This being a plastic housing they're prone to crack, always keep a spare. Now there's a update version made of of aluminum. Unfortunately this says metal, but definitely not. Either way it's a good product, fantastic price too. Made to OEM specs including a new thermostat. Failed in 1 Year - what lifetime warranty?

Bought late June 2025. Received a check engine light on September 8 2026 that the thermostat had failed (open, thankfully) and the engine was not reaching operating temp. Barely 1 year of use, with a higher price than the plastic OE housing. The actual thermostat clearly isn't any better, and failed in a short period, again, fortunately in the open position where it only causes additional cylinder wear and deposits from improper burn, while using more fuel. Oh, and the time spent having to remove parts to gain access to replace the thermostat is even better. Nothing like an additional hour of wasting one's life for an expensive part that failed faster than a cheap one. Sure, the aluminum housing doesn't leak like the stock Ford junk, but it doesn't operate within normal temperature either. Total waste of time and money with this part unless you're handy and can swap in a thermostat that isn't going to break, and good luck with that as the design looks to have riveted in the thermostat, making replacement even more difficult to impossible. And where is the warranty? Through Amazon? Lifetime warranty with a year of use. So that means I'd have to either waste more of my time, ever year, fixing it, or pay someone to. Simply put the part is not worth it. Can't return it. No way to cash in the "warranty" as it only came in a white box. If you have a Ford Focus and can replace the thermostat, the housing is fine, but the thermostat is junk. Otherwise keep replacing the stock leaky plastic Ford puts on the car every couple years. ... show more
