With the proliferation in urban areas of scooters, electric bikes, and electric. boards, a collision with one of these could be catastrophic. As someone who has ridden the streets and lakefront of Chicago for 40 years and been a mountain biker I can tell you this helmet is a far greater than any regular helmet and offers superior protection. It looks like a medieval knights helmet and you will feel as protected without the weight. A great urban riders helmet. The price is nothing compared to dental work or a trip to the doctor. It's an investment in your life.

Love this helmet. I use it for off-road dirt bike trips. Yes, it is not what the helmet was intended for, but my speeds rarely exceed 30 mph and in the often 100 deg heat I ride, heat stroke is a real concern. For me, it is a perfect fit for the riding I do. It is the right balance of comfort and protection.

Normally I don't buy trolley design because the price is so much more expensive than the competition, compared to like a Bell full face helmet, but when it comes to being lightweight it's definitely the lightest helmet I've ever used, it definitely has more vents and openings on the helmet than any other full face on the market, I've definitely face planted on a couple dirt jumps and concrete sliding out losing control, and after grinding my face against the ground I was totally fine thanks to the full face helmet, I really like my face and my teeth and I want to keep them that way, especially for those of you still wearing open face helmets, if you're riding gnarly tricks and doing wheelies and backflips off of 20 ft drops and getting major air and you're an extreme mountain bike rider or BMX rider I totally recommend this helmet, did you get hit by a car you actually have a better chance of surviving, my only gripe about this helmet is right in the front where the chin guard is, there's no type of screen or anything so if you're riding in the summer and you go through a hell of bugs you're going to definitely get some in your mouth because of the fact that there's nothing covering the main hole right in the middle of the front face chin guard, now don't get me wrong it's not impossible to fabricate a small little screen with some hot glue in that spot in order to make a difference, but besides that being my only gripe this helmet is truly flawless and it really stands out I've got nothing but compliments., Now I understand Troy Lee design is a little bit more expensive than the competition, but in all honesty I've been waiting years to buy a helmet like this and once I saw the price drop significantly below 50% I decided to finally purchase it and get it done, and I wasn't disappointed at all especially with the crazy camo paint scheme, I love it it literally goes with any color or any bike. I purchased this helmet for two reasons, one because my riding buddy kept inviting me to do enduro races and I needed a full face helmet. Second, for its awesome paint job! This helmet looks really awesome with its custom paint job. I specifically purchased this one because of the paint design and how it stands out which is what TLD is known for. Unfortunately, the helmet I received had paint chips specifically around the custom work. I get it that eventually I will have scuff marks, scratches and maybe chips as I use it and have wear on it. Yet, if you are buying a helmet for $300 because of what is being promised, I feel you have the right to pick and choose how you want your new product to arrive. Especially if you are getting it for the custom work TLD is known for. Contacted the seller, Tousley Motorsports Inc., and they offered a solution to my concern. One thing that was mentioned was that TLD does have great quality products so I could exchange it or receive a credit for it since custom work can occasionally come defective. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it (The review is for TLD, not the seller). Aside from the paint work, the helmet has different size puddings for you to adjust as you see fit. When changing the padding, be very careful since it does seem like you are forcing the padding off which feel and look like they can break off if not done with care. Once you have the right padding, I don't see you changing them very often so there is no worry about changing them in the future. Just be careful as you are trying to figure out your size. The vents are great, especially since I live in the southwest region where temperatures can get really high in the early morning or even for night rides. You can only imagine during the day. So these are awesome to provide well needed ventilation which I am excited to test out soon. All In all, love the design, love the ventilation, a little hesitant on future custom purchases for the price, appreciate the protect and really appreciate the customer service from Tousley Motorsports Inc.

I was skeptical to spend this much on a full face MTB helmet, but it was totally worth it for this one (TLD Stage MIPS). The first thing you notice is that it is very lightweight, but still feels solid and substantial. While there are some "mega-breathable" FF helmets out there, I feel like this one is a great balance of vents and coverage. I have not rode with the more robust downhill-rated Troy Lee helmets, but this seems to be perfect for trail and enduro use. Definitely the most comfortable FF helmet I have had my hands on. The only gotcha I have found is sizing... I wear a Medium in ALL half helmets I have tried, and a large in this one. Not sure if that is a universal thing or not, but I would recommend considering a size up to start if you can't try one on locally first. Would absolutely buy again!
