Love this one very much! If you are looking for a higher quality cat tree than the usual cheap beige carpet/sisal ones you find in the pet stores and here too-- spend a few extra bucks and get a better castle for your kitty. We love that the soft plushy material this one is upholstered with doesn't hold onto cat hair and build up massive clots of it, it's easy to wipe or vacuum off. Kitten loves it and it was very sturdy. My hubby determined that we can switch the orientation of the house on the second level if needed for a different window orientation. Our cat needed a little something placed next to it as the second level platforms don't protrude enough to allow her to easily climb to the third level. No big deal though. Would be great, and easy to put together, but the holes on the bottom of the house part are backwards so I can't finish it. Really sad since my cat already loves it and sits in that part while it's on the floor. Not sure if I can fix it

Got it for my fat cat so she would exercise more. I coaxed her around it with treats and catnip initially. Over time she has warmed up to all the levels and actually climbs all the way to the top to look out the window. She will even roll around on the second level a bit when she is tripping balls on nip. This tower will work for large cats (mine is 12-14 pounds--depending on how well we are enforcing her diet--with a relatively large head and slightly long body). It will shake if a big cat jumps quickly onto the second or third platform simply because the footprint of the bottom won't keep it completely stable when that much weight is thrown onto it abruptly. However, the construction stays completely sturdy and it seems like the cat would have to try pretty hard to knock it over. Placing the tower against a wall or in a corner nearly eliminates the shaking altogether. A bigger cat will take up most of the space on any of the platforms, and may be reluctant about going in the little cave since it isn't that easy for them to get in and out of quickly. It is still a great and reasonably priced way to get them off the ground and provide new lounging/climbing spaces. ... show more

Very good tree for the price I paid. This is me and my two one year old cats first cat tree so it did take a little getting use to. This tree is nice and tall. My cats usually stay at the perch second from the top and they usually take turns lounging over there. They both love scratching on the sisal rope and I have not issue with this at all. For such a tall tower it is very stable. It does wobble a bit when they jump on it but this have never toppled over yet. I figured I can just weigh it down with a dumbbell I have laying around the house if it ever gets to be an issue. The cats and I definitely love this. Okay, so I got a warehouse deal on this meaning it had been returned. But that means it was supposed to have small cosmetic problems only. Didn't expect hardware to be missing (note: Not sellers fault, Amazon apparently didn't check.) There was a cosmetic error that wouldn't show. I emailed the company and they promptly sent out missing hardware. In the meantime I got the bolts from the hardware store and just put it together. However, I'm impressed the company sent the parts out quickly and wrapped well in a strong box. I'm not rating Amazon here, but I would take something off for their mistake if I was. Otherwise 5 stars because my cat loves it and it is no trouble putting it together. It looks great. The moral: Buy this one new. ... show more

My mom has this exact cat tower so I was so excited to get one of my own. The box came pretty much destroyed and the tower was missing multiple parts (I know because like i said my mom has one) came with no instructions and not a single screw to put it together. This is for our new kitty, Marley our Munchkin. He's not impressed yet, but we're hoping with time, & maybe a little catnip spray :) he'll come around. It's made very well & sturdy. It was easy to put together & a bonus was the color. It's a dark grey which is hard to find. I wanted this color to go with our family room furniture & carpet. We're very happy with it & think you will be also. GIVEN SOME TIME, OUR LITTLE GUY NOW LOVES IT!!! WE'RE VERY HAPPY WITH IT AS IS OUR "MARLEY" THANKFULLY! Great price, quality of cat tree is good and it's a nicer color combination than other (one color) cat trees we have bought in the past. The size is about perfect, it is not so big that it takes up a large part of the room or window. The base does seem a bit undersized. It's a little wobbly but the cats have not knocked it over yet!
