  • Great for my air rifle
Great for what I need. If you have chickens you get rats. The Night vision works great. Different reticles to chose from for you need. I have it on a 22 caliber Benjamin air rifle. It has good adjustability for elevation and left to right. It is affordable Seems well built. Has decent clarity for the price. And can record your shots if so choose. ... show more

  • Well worth the money
This NV scope is WAY better than I expected! The image is shockingly detailed (for the price point), the IR light is very bright, and the overall build quality seems very robust. This is definitely something worth considering if you want to targets at night.

  • Serious quality issues riun otherwise impressive performance and value
I bought this mainly for the record function hoping to replace the Tactacam Solo Xtreme I tried last season, which had very poor low light sensitivity (useless in the critical first / last 30 mins around dawn/dusk). I had also tried previously tried the Sightmark Wraith HD and found it to be very unreliable (frequently freezing and needing hard reset with paperclip -- totally unacceptable for an optic I'm going to use for trophy hunting). I was impressed with the StarStrike's low light sensitivity (even with IR turned off) and image quality, however immediately experienced several CRITICAL problems perhaps partially due too hardware / manufacturing / calibration defects with the particular unit I received, but also definitely some inherent software quality issues as well (as is all too often the Achilles heal of otherwise promising products nowadays). First although this was the 3x-18x StarStrike model, it was oddly stuck in a narrow range of high magnification. There was a SLIGHT change from 3x to 18x, but only a fraction of the correct factor. Also oddly for a split second when powering on I could actually see the image at lowest magnification (presumably ~3x) before it would jump to the much higher narrow range where it was stuck despite 3x being selected. Secondly, the StarStrike's Auto Record upon power-on function simply didn't work despite being enabled. Finally, one time in the little bit I was testing the StarStrike it refused to turn back on after being powered down. I had to hard reset it by removing and re-inserting the battery (which was fully charged). Again, just like the Sightmark Wraith, such reliability problems are to a TOTAL non starter for an optic I'm going to use for hunting (sit for hundreds of hours until a trophy buck appears and the scope won't turn on! Going to grudgingly return while I still can. If Triton ever gets their act together on quality I'd give it them 2nd chance because I otherwise liked the performance and value and apparent outer build quality, but for now I guess I'll keep looking for something better. ... show more

  • Good scope for pricepoint
Scope works well at night. Just ask the varmints. Oh, you can't they are no longer around to verify it. If you want to use the NV on one of your scopes (model that attaches to existing scope), this model does not have a removable magnifier like the similar model in this brand. This is the 3x18. It is permanently fixed on this unit. ... show more

  • No diopter adjustment.
Everything advertised about this scope is true. Very nice scope for the money. Images day/night are crystal clear. Gave it a one star because it has no diopter adjustment. This means that you cannot adjust to your eyes. Works fine if you don’t have to wear reading glasses. I do so, this means I have to take off my glass and put on my readers to take a shot. Not ideal when hunting day or night. ... show more

  • Make your own diopter.
As many have mentioned the absence of a front focus for eye relief (diopter)...it can be a challenge for those that need reading glasses to focus with a naked eye. So after reading the reviews here I came across one where the person said they cut a reading card magnifier to a circle and inserted in the front sun shade. I did this and walla perfect focus for my naked eye.. I used a 6x card for mine and cut it to fit up in the second circle from the front . Works great. Cost $5 for a pack of 3. You can't cut them with siccors or they will shatter like glass so you have to score the plastic to get it to break off, then I sanded the edges round and smooth. Now I have a fantastic NV Scope for very little money. Really happy with it so far. ... show more

  • Nice begging to inter
For the money, best beginner night scope I have found. Holds tight when fireing, and battery lasts okay. Could be better. I can see the ir blasting on my night home camera. Easy to use and get use to. Wearing readers helps as there is no fine tuning.
