    • Do not buy! - very poor design for platform!
Absolutely do not buy! This cooler looks great in photos, and the top cooler portion does appear to be good quality. However, the platform and leg attachment design is absolutely terrible - rinky dink is being too generous. Each leg is attached with 2 tiny #8 screws and wobble like crazy. One of the screws even stripped the threaded insert loose in the bottom of the cooler and would not tight up. I should have paid more attention to some of the other reviews that mentioned this obvious design problem. The screws that attach the handles are 3x times larger than the ones that attach the legs. I can't imagine how this would hold up loaded with ice and drinks. I did not get to find out because one of the legs would not attach because the insert stripped loose before screw even started in. Also, the cooler arrived with a big dent in the bottom where the shippers obviously dropped it and damaged box. Extremely disappointed! ... show more

I am in the process of returning the 3rd Trinity TKK-0802 cooler back that I have received over the period of 2 weeks. 1 of the returns was due to damage to the box but the other 2 returns were due to the exact same issue having to do with the screws that fasten the legs to the cooler body. Twice now the hardware inside the cooler seems to break free from it's connection to the body as I am screwing in the screw and so the screw just spins and spins and can't be tightened or removed (see picture). I think it is safe to assume that Trinity has a manufacturing quality control issue with their (cheap) hardware. I am now giving up and getting a refund. I hope I can find another cooler that looks this nice but actually doesn't break when putting it together. ... show more

    • Great for outdoor patio/deck
Great for outdoor patio/deck. Easy assembly, and sturdy. Holds about two cases of beer (probably a little more), I just prefer mine stacked with ice which takes up lot of room. I read numerous reviews from previous purchasers, with some of the negative (very few) comments in mind. Mine came quickly, well packed, undamaged, all the parts, and assembled in about 30 minutes. Drain plug with screw cap and bottle opener with catch are very nice features. The lid is not permanently attached to the cooler. It is fitted and sets on top. I Recommend getting the cover that Trinity makes if you plan on keeping it outside. I would say that this cooler is average in maintaining the ice, but living in the south, with a lot of sun exposure I have yet to find any cooler that is exceptional in retaining ice. UPDATE: We've had this for almost 2 years now and its held up really well. No rust or drain leaking. We prob use it 1-2x/month but keep ice/water in it for several days each time. ORIGINAL POST: We've had this for several months now and it has held up well. Haven't seen any rust in the drain as I was worried about from having read previous reviews. This holds several cases of cans or bottles and looks much nicer than the plastic coolers. It does wobble a little when even just partially filled and rolling it but seems sturdy enough otherwise. ... show more

We live in So Cal I finally got to our patio addition with furniture for outdoor entertaining. We were looking for the easiest way to serve cold drinks without folks having to dig into a bunch of ice for refreshments (like with buckets, trash cans with liners, etc). Then we came across these cooler carts and started to do our research, cost comparisons based on quart capacity, ease of use, raters comments, etc. It came down to this stainless steel cooler and a bright red one. They were both the same size and capacity. However, the rating on this one were a tad higher. My wife wanted the red one (to match the red cushions on our outdoor furniture), I wanted the stainless steel (well because i just like stainless steel) however the very dark brown top lid and cart did match the dark brown furniture. we were at a stalemate with my daughters college graduation party coming up rapidly! as fate would have it, the red one went "out of stock" and thats why i'm doing the review on the stainless steel cooler. Right off, let me say, with a purchase as costly and bulky as this, Im going to try and buy "Amazon owned and sold" everytime!! Why? My experience has been, if something goes wrong, Amazon is so easy to work with and with the party within 2 weeks, if something was wrong with the cooler, i had confidence that a replacement would be within days! Ok, so this bad boy arrived in 2 days because of my Amazon Prime membership AND it was shipped by Amazon. Laid it all out on the living room floor and along with my music and a couple of ice cold Longboard beers, I put it together by myself without problems using the directions. My wife and people that know me realize that normally if i cant fix it with a hammer or a gun, it aint gettin' fixed. It took about 45 minute to put it together. Backtracking for a second, it did come well packaged, no dents and all equipment came with it. You will have to use a couple of extra tools that arent supplied but thats not a big deal! Ok, got it up and running and on the patio deck. Graduation party morning , we filled with 24 Longboards, Coronas, about a 18 water bottles, three wine bottles and 4- 7lb bags of ice. About 6 hours later, we got back from the ceremony and everything was ice cold and good to go. All beverages that were left stayed cold for about a day and a half and then started to warm up a bit. It worked the way it was supposed to. Now the downside, if you want to call it that. When you drain the water, you will have to tip the one non-drain side up to get rid of the last part of the water as the drain does sit up a little from the side of the bottom of the cooler. With the cart, it is harder to flip upside down and with the stainless steel , im not taking any chances denting or scratching it, so i got rid of the last bit of water with a towel and then left one door up to let the cooler dry out good. Thats the ONLY reason this didnt get 5 stars. It will stay out on the patio where it looks really good and one day we will get a cover for it when we get covers for the outdoor furniture. We are really happy with this purchase and my wife and daughter now like the classic look of stainless steel. The steel iseasy to clean with stainless steel cleaner/polish and the cart is great to store excess water bottles, dinner placement mats, etc. There is always a possibility of getting broken items, missing parts, dings and dents, etc so thats why whenever possible, i buy Amazon owned and shipped on Prime whenever possible!! ... show more

I cannot imagine customers giving this cooler even one star! We are Very disappointed. The stainless steel has pulled away from the liner. and it is very unstable. We have had this cooler less than a year and it was in storage over the winter. I read reviews and take them into consideration when ordering products. I read about the wobbling legs but I’d take that over the product separating and falling apart. The price defiantly didn’t reflect the quality. ... show more
